Why don't the Jets ever wear their "80's" style jersey as a throwback?

    Ok. The post made it sound like these would be the new uniforms for next year and will be introducing them for the 11/12 game. Hope it is once a year only. Why wear those awful green pants. Is this a mandate from the NFL? Love the all white or green jersey and white pants.

    i'm curious to see how the jersey's themselves look. They can change the pants back to white when the jets wear them, but I wonder if they might become a permanent fixture as opposed to the less than forest green we've got now.

    I hated those 80's jerseys.
    I was so happy when the team went back to the late 60's jerseys.

    Now that i have some time they are't terrible with some tweaks.
    1) white jerseys and green pants, green jerseys and white pants.
    2) Keep the same shade of green throughout (the darker stripe and logo look terrible)
    3) all the peripherals (socks, cleats, gloves) need to be fixed with more white and black.
