Damn mama doe, nothing more alert in the woods. Cool seeing a fisher. I never seen one in the woods. I'll be out tomorrow, going to hang in as longs as i can. Have a few bucks on camera around midday. They might be starting to cruise. Next 3 weeks are what bowhunters live for. Lot of chasing and cruising and deer on their feet all day.
Caught lyme 4 years ago. It was brutal, not much you can do to avoid it other than keep as little skin exposed as possible and check well for them when you get out of the woods.
^ i don't know what it is, but i am not driving to woodbury for it, so, 11 hours of daylight, spent 9 on stand. saw 0 deer and missed the game. calling it a push
tough day NSN, but you got give the hunting gods these types of days every now and then. brother saw a nice 8. was bedded down right in front of him. popped up and walked straight away after he had been sitting for 2 hrs. tough stretch of warm weather this week is going to keep movement down. i will be back at it friday
man its been crazy warm, this weekend it should really get going. temps drop big time and this is the time the chasing begins. going to sit tomorrow afternoon but might be too warm. hung the trail camera on a scrape last week, if nothing else i might have some good video
i will. on another note. now is when i regret missing that doe. would have like to have some meat in the freezer. be careful shooting does now, you don't what is trailing them.
tough to let meat walk at this point. not sure if I'll have the patience maybe I'll get lucky and find a necro buck
