I have an optical memory and read the books, so whenever I watch GoT I usually know the character before they say the name. Hearing it, not so much.
I was calling Andrea "the blond chick with nice tits" and Rosita "the hispanic chick with nice tits" and the lesbian with nice tits "the lesbian with nice tits" because I still can't remember her name. _
Not a spoiler, but something I was thinking about the other day. In the comics Lori survives giving birth to Judith and Carl names her, and Lori dies later. In the show his mother literally dies in front of Carl giving birth to the baby, he then has to kill his mother as she will zombify, and he names the baby after his first grade teacher Judith?? WTF kid. WTF Rick, you can't give him a gentle nudge that maybe the baby could be named after the mother?? (even though she was the worst, until Andrea was the worst). As a parent, I'm offended.
Until Flowers Girl was the worst. Until Father Brotha was the worst. Until Sniper Chick was the worst. Until Mr. Papagiorgio was the worst for 1 episode.
I still think flower girl takes the award for "worst" on this show. Carol fixed that shit real quick once she clued in.
Who the fuck is flower girl? I don't even remember anything about flowers. Is that Maggie's sister? Another Guy from The Wire and sniper girl are definitely the worst right now. Show is currently racist. Although they have managed to keep Michonne likable and most of the unlikable character previously were white.
the little girl carol gave the mice and men treatment to when she had judith the 2 girls and the another guy from the wire after the prison break. btw, i could do without sniper girl and another guy from the wire wasn't great, but bob was a good character. he was "that guy from the wire" for a couple of episodes
oh shit, i forgot about Bob, who was a good character. he was the third wire character though. Tyrese was the original wire character. flower girl makes sense now, but I kind of liked her insanity.
Nope, I completely suck at it too.... and I do the same thing. Of course it doesn't help that I do this IRL, so it's a natural fallback. Still, my friends and relatives probably don't appreciate it when I use these little shortcuts like: 1. dude with the bad BO instead of cousin Bob. 2. Guy who's always rearranging his junk in my presence instead of my boss. 3. Annoying bitch for Mom.
So basically this puts the death spike in my theory. Well thanks people, that just bursts my bubble! But seriously, it was a neat idea while it lasted.
Good point. You'd think he'd want to honor/remember his mother. The only plausible explanation I could offer is that in the moment the wounds of his mother dying would still be too fresh. Consequently, memorialiIng her with by naming someone after here would just rub salt into fresh wounds. I also wonder how quickly the concept of death might set in. One moment Lori alive and Judith isn't born, the next moment Judith is born and Lori is dead. But mentally the idea that Lori is dead and gone forever may not have sunk in even though a person may understand (intellectually, not emotionally) that the person is deceased. So they aren't thinking of this person as dead yet and, therefore. Why memorialize someone you don't even think of as dead, right? My only issue is saying the Lori was somehow bad. Even at her worst I don't think Lori was a horrible parent unless I'm forgetting something. Yes, she gives up Rick for dead a little quickly, but it isn't as if there wasn't fairly compelling reason for doing this (as in almost everyone else is either dead or turned into the walking dead.). Other than that what did she do? He affair with Shane was kept out of sight, she protected her son, and continued to care for him as well as anyone could in the situation. I feel like I'm missing something or forgetting something....
It was somewhere in season 2, but she basically told Rick (not directly but in so many words) that Shane needed to be killed. Rick then killed Shane, in self defense, and Lori acted like Rick was a crazy maniac killer. She was a fine parent though, just an annoying character.
I wasn't really a fan of this episode. Not much went down but these episodes are always needed. whose blood was dripping down the wall as the episode ended
Yea, okay, I remember now. Nice recall, I had forgotten that. I think I was so busy getting my knickers in a twist over Andrea's world-beating imbecility that I tended to overlook that stuff. Man I hated Andrea. Now THAT was a character that just screamed out: I wanna be a zombie chew-toy.
LOL! Love that way of describing it. I'm surprised that Carol didn't have her talking about petting the bunnies right up until she blew her little psychotic brains out.
Has anyone checked out the webisodes? They play 30s skits during commercials as if its supposed to whey my appetite and make me go watch em online but it hasn't held my interest at all tbh. 4 commercial skits and the fat kid still hasn't moved from his airplane chair
Haven't watched this season yet but decided to YouTube Glenn's death to see what all the whining is about. He's dead. There's no way around it.
