THANK GOD. as much as i like petty, i dont want to see him rushed into a situation hes not ready for, and having it stunt his growth. and i definitely dont need to see geno out there again.

I was happy to hear bowles pretty much lambast the defense to the media today when he said there wasn't one single player on defense that played well on sunday.

 

i think this speaks volumes about what bowles really thinks about his qb situation too. if he ever really planned on starting smith (and he never once said he had won the job, that was just made up by some people here) it would be easy to just sit fitz another week or two, certainly nobody would question it but he is letting him go without a second thought.

 

Let us rejoice!

 

This is good news. I have a lot more faith in the Jets winning this game with Fitzpatrick than with Geno.

Of note from Corey Griffin: the fact that the Jets are going to let Fitz play through an injury that's so bad he can't even change his kids' diapers might be an indication of how they currently feel about Geno.
