LMfaooooo the team gave up after the 1st 3 plays? even the defense? lmfaoooo. and that's Geno's fault????? hmmm..
really, team is 4-3 we had a plethora of injuries to KEY players but don't let facts get in the way of your opinions.
AMEN!!! Better late than never, however. What's both scary and funny is that sometimes when I click on links of Ignored Content, his name appears, and I fear for a minute that the ban has been lifted, but there's never a post there for him. I'm not sure why his name shows. Maybe it's just ingrained into my profile or computer memory that he's on permanent ignore. LOL
When you know that being aggressive is going to lead to TOs which definitely causes you to lose more often than not, then playing in a more conservative fashion is your only hope, your only way to try to consistently win. The Jets have been lucky so far that Fitz' interceptions haven't hurt the team that badly, and I believe there were several near interceptions that were dropped. Listen, I hate the conservatism as much, if not more than you do, but as long as we have Mangold out with injury, Ivory banged up, and either Fitz or Geno as our starting QB, then I prefer Bowles to play more conservatively than aggressively. You have to realize too that part of the equation is that Bowles is a rookie HC. Most of them are not riverboat gamblers coming out of the gate. That takes time. Even though Bowles' demeanor is calm on the sidelines, that doesn't mean he isn't nervous inside. He's a smart man. I'm sure he knows about Geno's and Fitz' penchants for throwing interceptions and pick 6s. The Jets are thin at QB even when everyone is healthy. With Mangold and Fitz out, Ivory banged up, and no one to replace him in the lineup, what's he supposed to do, thow the ball 80 times a game with Geno starting? Bowles and Gailey would have to be certifiably insane to be aggressive. They'd get whoever was playing Geno killed, because he isn't smart enough to know how to deal with the pressure. Nobody wants to see the shit show from the last 2 years with Geno taking 20 yard sacks and throwing interceptions by the handful. Hopefully, as injured players return to the lineup and Bowles relaxes a little, he will become a little more aggressive (controlled aggression). Of course one has to play to win, but there are different ways to win.
Damn bro.. You just brought me back to the reality that we have the same shitty offense we been had just plus brandon marshall. lol.
The Jets have 2 really significant additions on offense this year. Marshall is the #1 WR that lets Decker slide to #2, where he is outstanding instead of average, and Carpenter who is the best LG the Jets have had in a while. If Fitzpatrick wasn't so reckless with his body we'd have had a chance. We might still have a chance if he can play with the thumb in a cast because I'm guessing he isn't going to be dangling it out there down the field for people to step on.
Pain is an extraordinary motivator. I could easily see Fitzpatrick becoming the sliding man with his left thumb feeling like it is being ripped off every time somebody hits it or it hits the ground.
I can also see every frustrated D lineman who cannot reach him taking a swat at his bad hand. Trying to gift his teammates Geno
Yup just watch, even after the pass is gone or the play is over. Someone will come in from behind and give Fitz a reach around right to the thumb.
I wanted to cry right there....even with 9 out of 11 Raiders playing back against the pass. BUT a 10+ yard run up the middle was MORE than possible, leaving 4th and manageable. Kind of like Fitz's last pass in the NE game....get 15 yards (after the on-sides kick recovery) and in range for a hail mary with 1 sec left. My REAL disappointment was punting on 4th down. OK, the quick run up the middle got stuffed (not surprising with Mangold out) so we didn't make 4th down any easier. But to totally give up and PUNT? Give me Rex any day after that. If I was Macc I'd have fired Bowles on the spot. NEVER give up on a game with time left. Might as well just taken a knee there.
Yup, but Junc was very predictable and provided material. Something that's been lacking here since the last wave a perma-bans 2 years ago. We need to perma-ban the perma-ban. Make it for like week or so. Shit I've had about 10 of those myself and think of how 'great' TGG would be without FOOTBALLGOD214!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I couldn't possibly disagree more. junc drug down the level of discussion here. His "material" was utter shit. He's either delusional, knows nothing about the game or both. We have ZERO need for him. If you want to read or argue with him, go to wherever he's posting now.
