As bad as that loss was, and even though it ruined our AFCE hopes, the season is far from over. We are 4-3, sitting at the 6 seed, tied for the 5 seed. We have winnable games the rest of the way. Let's beat the Jags and Bills. 6-3 sounds pretty good right now.

Can we resurrect the 2009 playoff picture thread? I have the feeling it's going to look a lot more like the reality than the first 5 pages of this one. No Fitzpatrick, Mangold will be back, Pryor will be back, Ivory and Decker will both miss some time, something else will go flooey before long. (History says a L based on 0-3 and out at the end but I think Fate might be looking to really stuff Rex this year and watching the Jets get in at 8-7-1 while the Bills sit at home at 7-8-1 would be the grand hand-armpit at work.)
Talking playoffs for the Jets is so before the last two games. Maybe if they look good against the Jaguars, it might be worth thinking about. But I can't see it as it stands today.
I really want the Jets to be in the Playoffs this season, but since we don't have a healthy reliable QB, I don't know if we will make the Wild Card this year.
8-8 is solid considering where we have been for the last few season. I mean hey they are certainly doing better than my Huskers are if that says anything.
I've never seen so much doom and gloom. This shit is crazy. One week people are predicting 13-3 or 12-4 and now we are the ass of the NFL. One week at a time fellas. Beat the Jaguars and we are sitting really pretty. Pitt plays Oakland this weekend so we can gain a game on either one if we win.
The first 8 games were the easiest the Jets were going to see. So far they have lost 2 of three they should have won and had they won them they would be in good shape. As it is they are probably out of the picture now.
How are we out of the picture? We are 4-3. If we beat Jacksonville, we then face Buffalo, which should be a win. Then it's on to Houston, who is absolute garbage. That's three very doable wins in a row putting us at 7-3
