Jets missed 19 tackles yesterday. We've been averaging less than 6 missed tackles per game before yesterday's game. Filling in for Pryor, Marcus Williams had 6 missed tackles. DDavis had 4 missed tackles. Cro and Gilchrist each had 3. The Raiders accumulated 210 of their 333 receiving yards after the catch. The Raiders scored touchdowns on their first three drives, and four of their first five, to take a 28-6 lead with 11:06 left in the third quarter. Those drives covered 78, 76, 78, and 93 yards. All ended in Carr touchdown passes. No INTs. No Fumble Recoveries. No Sacks. Murray ran for 113 yds. We gave up 4.7 yds per carry. The Raiders completed 7 of 9 throws at Cro for 140 yards and 2 TDs. Our defense was terrible, but keep bitching about our QBs.
Wow if it wasn't for this OP I would have continued to think that our defense played great and the loss was on Geno.
I think both incomplete passes to Cro were actually dropped passes where he still got his ass beat. That saved him.
Where do these statistics come from? Also, I'm a bit confused because this seems productive. I thought all you did was whine.

The stats point out that our defense was horrible.
Some quotes from one of the articles above: "That's one thing we take pride in, making tackles," said slot cornerback Buster Skrine, who left Sunday's game after aggravating his sprained right shoulder. "Today was an off day for our secondary. We don't plan on having many games like this, or any more games like this." "Little things like that cause you to lose games, as you can see," said defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson. "We came out with no energy. We came out flat. They gashed us." Said middle linebacker David Harris: "That's not us. They had way too many yards after the catch." "We didn't tackle," [Bowles] said. "We didn't stop anybody. We didn't do anything right. I have issues with the energy. I think the effort was there. I didn't think we played with a whole bunch of energy. I can't account for [the missed tackles], but we're going to work at it this week. It's surprising a little bit, but I've got confidence in these guys, and we'll correct it." "We've just got to wrap up and tackle better," [Revis] said. "Coach has been on us about that previously. Now it's something that we really have to harp on even more."
i agree geno was not the problem, and to be honest if we need to come back from being down big I would rather have geno out there because i feel he has more potential to make big plays either with his legs or arm where fitz is more of a manager. In all honesty the only play from geno I think was flat out bad was the deep sack he took, he should have thrown it away... however given the situation it wouldnt have made a difference since it was basically in desperation.. still should have threw it away but I think he played well all things concidered. defense on the other hand..... any time a player is touched by more then 2-3 players and not taken down that is completely unacceptable. I think next week will show us what we have in coach bowles, we better come out and completely dominate on defense... the offense playing like it did yesterday should be enough to win most games as long as the defense plays up to its standards.
I enjoy the sarcasm, but I think this thread was more in response to threads last week celebrating a top rushing stat after the Pats didn't bother to run on us at all. Maybe I'm wrong.
bowles better put the pepper on some motherfuthers - maybe everyone was taken back by the time change + the west coast… hey the excuse has worked before
