I hate to say it, but this game was necessary.

No correction necessary, and excellent post.

Everyone keeps talking about the "easy schedule" but I said it last week the only gimme I see is the Tennessee game. I could easily see us finishing as a 6 win team after this game. We look terrible and half the team is injured.

It's about as easy as it gets in the NFL.....even so, if we don't show up like today we won't win another game

I'm not angry at Geno at all. I just don't think he's good enough to QB in the NFL. I don't think he's shown enough at this point to give reps to in the hope that he might figure most of the stuff he needs to figure out in a hurry. I really don't want to watch bad Jets football again for another year and as long as Geno is the QB that's what is on tap for us.

Just think about what Rex is going to do to him twice.

This post is all you need to know this guy is a Genotard.

This thread isn't about whose fault it was that we lost the game.

    You wake up.

It is an easy schedule for a team with an average QB. We sunk below that level very early in this game. You're not breaking news to anyone.

If only we could transplant Fitz's brain into Geno's body.

I'd literally kill for Sanchez right now. At least I know we've won with him behind center of a similarly built team before.

yeah the dumbass still hasn't learned how to slide after all these years. Oops, wrong mental deficient.

Enlightening! Maybe we should bring back MATT SIMMS too so we can satisfy all the other cucks in the fan base.

I really like what you said there. TRULY sums up our entire situation outside of Petty.

Having said that, considering that Geno Smith hadn't taken a snap of football in nearly 10 weeks I'm willing to say he played alright. Yes, the two sacks were lame having not thrown the ball out of bounds but let me tell you something...if our FUCKING defense hadn't let the Raiders score THREE damn touchdowns on plays that shouldn't have been more than a few yards pickup...maybe he wouldn't have BEEN in the position to have to scramble around like an idiot. This game lands squarely on the Defense looking worse than I've EVER seen a Jets defense look, a complete mental mind fuck of in game coaching and a humongous lack of what I can only perceive as no preparation. If you tied me to a chair and electro-zapped my balls you couldn't convince me that Todd Bowles would ever let a team show up THAT unprepared and uninspired. Our defense brought back memories of a game, against Pittsburg I think, where they literally ran the ball like 15 straight times, up our ass, and scored a TD just because they could.

No, if Geno Smith is not critically injured he DESERVES a full week of snaps and a Defense that actually shows up to fucking play next week against Jacksonville. As others have said...if Fitz had put up the same numbers Smith did we all would be applauding a fantastic effort. Something tells me that Fitz is done for the year...I've torn my MCL in my thumb before and they have to insert rods and pins...I'm willing to bet that's what Fitz is looking at.

One thing I will say is I better NEVER see a defensive effort like I did today. That was disgraceful, lacked any sort of professionalism and about 90% of those assholes should just ship their game checks to their favorite charity. Simply disgusted. They say Bowles is a disciple of Parcells...we're about to find out this week because I can tell you how practice would look this coming week. I guess we'll find out.

Yes, it was about writing off a player definitively who came off the bench and played an up and down game on a day when most of the rest of the team was flat out terrible. I mean come on.

He's likely to be our starter next week (and possibly more) so that puts you in a tough position of having to root against the Jets to be proven right. Doesn't sound fun, good luck with that.

Geno is dog sh-t. He's always been dog sh-t. He will always be dog shit. He's professed as much as a snail crossed bred with a sloth.

I think there is more faith collectively that the D will regain their form than there is Geno will get smarter.

Complaining about Geno when the defense aside from Harris couldn't tackle worth a shit. Geno came on the field so the defense gave up!?!? They were up 3-0 and they gave up before they even got on the field!?? What kind of bullshit excuse is that?

This defense got shredded, picked apart, and dismanteled! This was just a pathetic performance by a defense that is supposed to be the best in the league.

This is a huge wake up call for the players and coaching staff. They need to wake the fuck up and play grown man football!

The best part about today is the posts from Geno fans making that last desperate effort to make him sound like a legitimate option.

The fact that the Jets were making calls for a QB during the first quarter of this game doesn't even faze them.

It's the final two minutes of Jets Geno fandom and his followers are throwing Hail Mary's like they're about to lose the Super Bowl.

Also missed on Bridgewater. That draft was a fucking nightmare when you look back on Idzik's mess. Let's not overlook all the WR studs Jets passed on in the first 3 rounds also.
