    I'm tired of hearing about how smart Fitzpatrick is. Smart QB's slide at the end of runs so DB's can't get a free shot and bend your fucking thumb back.

    That was just as dumb as anything Geno did. And I'm not defending Geno. He's a dumb as a box of rocks. no football IQ.

    We are where all the crappy teams are in the NFL. No quarterback and kind of crappy coaching. We are EXACTLY the same as the Browns, or the Bills or even Jacksonville. No chance this year.

    He's still running backwards 10 yards and running out of bounds without throwing the ball away before he goes out of bounds...would love for us to cut him

    Lets just say Geno didn't surprise anybody today with his play. He is who we thought he was. Sometimes good... Sometimes bad. Geno Smith is Geno Smith. You know what you're getting.

    What game was u watching? English much?

    Down 2 TD's in the third quarter most teams would think they were still in it. Look at the Giants game today. But thats why the Jets lost today. No heart.

    Same ol Geno. Showed flashes with his arm and legs, but still zero brain or awareness.

    Our defense was way worse to watch though.

    @bandwagon

    Geno had no running game today. He contributed maybe half or more of the running yards.

    With that in mind, Geno made good decisions (mostly) today, had some nice deep throws, improved his ball placement and timing. Showed better poise than he did last year in the pocket. The system really helps him. He looks similar to WVU Geno but with better pocket presence.

    Albeit he had some brain farts towards the end trying to make a big play (and some people will focus on this and ignore the rest), Geno played well coming in cold. He went 2 TDs, 1 INT, 64% completion and 87 QB rating. Most backup QBs don't come into a game and put in those numbers. He also made a last ditch pass to Marshall who had a PI at like the 1 yard line. Geno could have conceivably led 3 TD drives if the refs made that call and thereby garnered himself a 90+ QB rating, last minute sacks and all.

    I can't think of a back up QB who puts up those kind of numbers coming in cold.

    Thought he did some good things. Had a couple good drives, made some nice throws

    But he also made some dumb things. Those 2 sacks in the 4th were unacceptable. He should have thrown the ball away. Also forced some passes to Marshall early

    We lost today because the D couldn't stop the Raiders. I get it most people on here hate Geno and that fine but let's put the blame where it belongs. Talk about my English all you want still doesn't change who lost this game.

    @brandonweeden@manziel@loadofotherbackups

    As many have said...........Geno was the Geno we all know.

    Couple of nice passes, showed all the physical skills of a top NFL QB but the mental fortitude off a peewee league chucker.

    Can the mental side be improved? I look at Manziel in his second season and think its definatly something you can progress on but it'll probably cost is another season and there seems to be a lot of "jerk" to be worked out of mr smith.

    I disagree with you on the mental part. Geno played well today outside of the last 2 mins where he was trying to make a play and held the ball too long. On the other hand, we gave up like 4 straight TDs and needed a big play to get back in the game (if we were ever going to). That aside, Geno consistently made good decisions and good throws with zero running game, which many QBs in this league can't do, Manziel included.

    Your right, the D lost the game. But sometimes the O needs to pick the defense up. Geno did alright, and I complimented him in the game thread when he threw the TD to the Tight end. But when the D stiffened and the Jets needed Geno to generate another score to make it a game he made too many mental mistakes.

    But I agree the loss was really on the D. They were playing flag football out there.

    The D gives up 30+ points, the O has no running game and a cold QB, and you "guess" it's the D's fault? For the record Geno made a big play in the end. Marshall was hacked on that final deep ball.

    Sorry, ecto 1, your man crush is as good as gone, no matter what bitchtarded spin you try to put on it. He's a garbage player and he exhausted his only chance today.

    What the Jets really needed was the D to make a few stops. Did Geno makes some dumb plays...yes he did but people talk like the Jets where like down one score. This game was over at halftime.

    Where did I say "guess?" The D was horrible. As bad as the Bengals game last year.

    Yeah, good pass. Geno deserves a prize.

    We lost this game because of the defense. Not because of GENO. That is fact
