If our defense is bad, what's the point of having him as our HC? His clock management is some of the worst i have ever seen, including Rex. He is completely clueless when it comes to playcalling and his conservative playcalling is gutless. Our offense has to fall behind before we open it up and become aggressive. When we are on a roll offensively and get a lead, our offense then turns into conservative pussyball and we rely on our defense to shutout teams the rest of the game. I knew Gailey was trash but i wasn't sure about Bowles but so far he has been exposed as just a good defensive coordinator and nothing more.
Backup QB, backup center, west coast game after an emotional loss to NE. Breath. It's early. We are 4-3 with the Jags coming to town this week. The season is not lost.
The one thing you got right is how our offense goes from aggressive to passive or vice versa at the worst times. The playcalling is also utter trash. Why do we continuously run the ball on 1st and 2nd with 8 guys in the box? Where's the playaction pass? Why are we so passive on offense with this receiving core? At first I thought it was because of Fitz and his weak arm but no it's just Gailey or Bowles choosing to be passive.
Arguable. D played well for 3 quarters last week. I would say we played one bad game. (1 quarter last week, 3 quarters this week).
They gave up over 30 last week. That's not good. How can you argue otherwise? One quarter or 4, the D was bad.
Bowles reminds me a lot of Herm, he coaches scared or to not lose and his time management is HORRENDOUS! Punt on 4th down WTF
It's a good thing I don't own the Jets I would've fired the entire coaching staff after that 3rd and 21 draw play down two TD's with only 1 TO.
No Mangold. No Fitzpatrick. Bowles and Gailey are definitely going to suck when the Jets cannot run up the gut and when their QB has the football sense of a talented 14 year old. Antonio Cromartie is a bad football player at this point. He couldn't make a tackle if his life depended on it and he doesn't really try either. He flops like a futbol player looking for a card whenever anybody runs towards him with the ball. His coverage skills are good enough to cover bad receivers and not much more than that. This Jets season is going to come down to whether or not the injury run stops or just keeps rolling along. At this point the Jets are dropping like flies and the losses are coming right up the middle: Pryor, Mangold, Fitzpatrick.
because the defense was playing great with pryor and has been playing poorly without him. Pretty simple.
Seconded. It's hilarious how Geno007 comes on here all psyched up that the D had a bad game. "Geno's stats didn't look god awful, so he must've had a good game!" We are going nowhere with that selfish, brain-dead, born loser at QB. Hopefully his ribs are broken. If Fitz can't go next week it's time to see what Petty can do.
Right. I, for one, was happy to have a QB that could get the ball to Marshall on the goal line in that situation. Marshall should have caught that too, that was a ncie throw. I was unimpressed with Geno's situational awareness, to say the least, but having a brain didn't stop Fitz from only being able to throw it 10 yards against the Patriots when we needed 40. It's easy to paint a guy in the most horrible color possible if that is what you're aiming to do, and it seems you guys get a real kick out of shitting on Geno.
