Shitty QB situation and overrated defense. Nothing has changed as we get blown out on the road yet again.
Well at least this will put to rest all the delusion playoff talk. This team still sucks and will continue to suck until the QB situation is resolved. Unfortunately the NFL's claims to "parity" via the salary cap are just BS to the uninformed masses. Tweaks to the game via rule changes favoring the offense and the QB basically mean that only a team with a franchise QB has a legitimate shot of winning a championship. This has been the case since the Bucs won 12 years ago. Geno is an abortion and the Jets should just play out the string for the next 9 games and hope for a high draft pick to draft a franchise QB. Geno is not the answer and statistically neither is Bryce Petty. No 4th round drafted QB has amounted to anything in the NFL.
Patriots will win the Super Bowl again and we're here. Idk why I take the abuse, its like a broken record.
What is most frustrating is every year we are duped into thinking we may have a good team. In the end...there are only a handful of teams that compete for the championship every year. Proof being the same teams with multiple superbowl championships. Usually, after week 8 or 9, I am looking forward to next year's draft. Sad...
if you don't have a legitimate top 10 QB then you aren't going to do anything - and we have never had a legit top 10 QB that I can think of. it sucks that we cannot ever seem to fix the QB position but it just seems to be the way it is - no matter who is the coach or GM
I agree, theres this illusion of parity, but the same teams make the playoffs and Super Bowl every year. Baseball has more parity at this point.
And they'll draft another DE or CB with our first round pick, everyone but me will cheer it, we'll pound our chests about how sick our D is and all we need is a game manager QB and we can win the division. How about a Gurley, or a Beckham Jr? You can't build a franchise when you never fucking select any offensive talent in the draft.
They've created a league to be too pass friendly, you can't hit the QB, you can't breathe on a WR without drawing a flag. There is no parity here, you can't compete in this league without a top flight QB. Until the Jets get that we may all just do something else on Sunday's, we're wasting our time.
And the vast majority of premier and HOF caliber QB's were drafted in the 1st round. Tom Brady is the enormous exception to the rule.
