I'm hoping Matz uses his dirty curveball for Strikes early in the count; get ahead with some off-speed stuff, and then go to the fastball. While Syndergaard's velocity has a lot to do with this, the KC hitters last night weren't as locked in on the fastballs when they were down 0-2 and 1-2 in the count after seeing off-speed pitches first.
He also told Casey (paraphrasing) I read in the scouting report where he likes to swing on the first pitch, so I was like, hit this!!
And just to think, in Spring Training Wright threw out Noah's lunch when he ate during by himself in the clubhouse during a game. Ned Yost said the Royals have a few tricks up their sleeve as well. What a moron. You already hit our shortstop in the knee last night and went after Murphy up and in in Game 1.
The Royals are really cocky and arrogant, especially Hosmer and Moustakas. But its okay when Hererra and Ventura head hunted during the year...... FUCK THEM........ We should be up 2-1...........
Oh man I'm so nervous with Matz on the mound. You just never know how a rookie will respond to the pressure of the moment. I'm sure that all pitchers thrive when their team provides an early lead; for the Mets youngsters in these Playoffs, this seems especially true. Hope we can get out to an early lead so that Matz operates comfortably from the beginning.
Pretty sure Wright called out Syndergaard for something at the very beginning of the year, might've been Spring Training.
Good break for the Mets but an obvious call by the ump. He would have been safe and Travis hasn't thrown out a runner in a month. Young when healthy is very tough.
This game will decide whether or not I'm at a zombie party as a slutty zombie, or in bed crying while eating ice cream. I really want to be a zombie slut.
