if both Mangold and Colon were out, that would be really bad. i expect both will play tho (or at least hope). hopefully Skrine and Decker are ready also.
You guys are jumping the gun on Mangold. He is listed as doubtful. How often to guys play having the doubtful tag?
I expect Bowles to rest more starters than that. After all, we're playing the JV-west team. I expect to see a lot of Jet players out there I've never heard of.
Get your ass in the NBA thread. Are you watching this crazy Thunder game!? (sorry off topic, done now..)
I could be wrong in my assumptions but it seems like Decker has gotten awfully soft after signing that big deal. Maybe fragile is a better word. But for a guy that played all 16 games for three years in Denver with virtually no injury history he's now on our injury report every week, and comes out of the game as soon as he catches the ball. I hope I'm wrong but he seems to be very productive of himself with the new family and smoking hot wife. You tend to not want to blame him for that, but as a fan, man is it frustrating to see yourn $35 million receiver coming out of the game every other passing play and showing up with phantom injuries on the injury report every week when there was no sign of injury in the game.
Pryor has been a big help to the D at SS. He'll be missed. Fortunately Raiders TE's are nothing special. He might have a high ankle sprain with is pretty worrisome. Bowles said the longer Mangold is unable to practice the more likely he is to not play. Nick sat out practice 3rd time in a row yesterday. Ivory still might not be 100% with his hammy and all we have at backup is an underwhelming Stacy and Ridley who is a big ??? as of now. At WR we've got no #3 that fits Gailey's system. We've got Kerley and a hope and a prayer after that this week. Honestly I'm a bit surprised the Jets are still -2.5. Hope Vegas is right
That's an awful lot of conjecture right there my friend. You have not one iota of a clue what is happening with his knee. Hopefully he works through this and we don't see him on the injury report again.
Don't get why Kerley's In the doghouse. Devin Smith is a washout so far, hopefully he will get better, because he can't get any worse
If Decker does not play, we lose. They ar egood against the run. One starter wideout and not much behind. Kerley is JAG
But a game with Kerley filling in for Decker is much better than a complete unknown in Kenbrell Thomkins. Hopefully Decker plays but in the event that he's coming out every few plays having Kerley come in is a blessing. Especially over Smith, Enunwa and Owusu who have either done nothing or disappeared after a good game.
Getting an Injury prone tag already, bad route running, not fighting for the ball, not much to like so far
That's probably why I offered a lot of skepticism and questioned what I was actually saying in my post. We don't know. It's frustrating as hell that the guy is out of the game every third play though.
