The Pats may have moved on from bugs, deflating footballs, and videotaping, but I have no doubt that they are cheating. They have just found other ways to gain little edges over their opponent through the systemic cheating that is The Patriot Way. The false persecution complex ("Please protect us from being framed!") is just a smokescreen to deflect the NFL's attention away from their new shady tactics.
People tend to attribute to others their own flaws. So NE thinks others will cheat them, greedy people think others are greedy, etc.
I'm so sick of hearing about the Patriots and cheating. They are the best team in the league and they are proving it again after the bogus Deflategate, just destroying teams every week. Brady has 20 touchdowns and 1 interception this year (which Edelman essentially handed to the other team) - looks like the deflated footballs gave him a HUGE advantage. I hate Belichick and Brady, but it's because they are really fucking good. Aaron Rodgers admitted casually that he likes to inflate the game balls as much as possible. Trust me -- teams are not losing to the Pats and Packers because of less or extra air in footballs. I can't be the only Jets fan sick of all of the whining. This message board has become borderline unreadable when it comes to any topic regarding New England.
This is the most SOJF post I've read in a while. Just like most of your posts - garbage, absolute garbage.
Very true, I have no doubt that they are cheating right now. It's just a matter of time until we catch them in the act.
Spygate was bad, I think everyone knows that. But since then I think every allegation hurled against them has been weak. That's all.
It is redundant and maybe you are right. I think we all agreed deflategate punishment was a makeup for all the wrongs, righted by the NFL in the past. With the ESPN report we now know patriot underlings would sneak into opposing teams locker at Gillette to steal the list of opening offensive plays. Not sure what you would want to call that? Fair game? And while Tom may have been innocent of ordering the footballs deflated (I don't believe so), and maybe deflated footballs offer no real advantage (Brady is killing it), there have been a slew of dropped passes....I'm willing to bet there have been more drops by Patriots (7 games into the season) than in any of the last 5 seasons (Count, 16 games for each). Maybe that has nothing to do with the pressure of the football, but some uncharacteristic drops so far... The success of the Pats offense is continuity; and Brady 1a, and Gronk 1b. The drops could be the result of anything...
Trust me, Nixon was not losing to McGovern because of what they were looking for in the Watergate Hotel. That's just silly rationale right there. _
I agree with most of what you say except for the poo-pooing the deflategate punishment. If he did what we think he did, and his guy disappeared into the bathroom to deflate the balls after the refs checked them, 4 games is not that much.
Especially if you consider that the 4 games was partially as a make up call for leniency in the past.
[QUOTE="Ubiquitous, post: 3343879, member: 21334" I can't be the only Jets fan sick of all of the whining. And if it's unreadable in regards to our fans ranting about a hated rival than.
Well, they've lost 1st round picks now twice in the last 8 years for cheating. With that kind of rap sheet they've kind of set themselves up at this point.
More jealousy from fans of other teams. We beat your ass. We're undefeated. We're going to win another SB. You can keep adding imaginary asterisks, while we continue hanging real banners.
