This shit is over. Best case scenario you go back to KC down 3-2..

I could have been watching the GOP debate. At least I would have gotten some laughs with my tears. 3 @ home and 1 of 2 at Kansas? It just doesn't seem realistic.

How was that ball 4? It was down the middle. No hunger or fire after last night's loss. Didn't expect this.

Conforto has the best .050 I've ever seen but I'd go instead with Kelly Johnson.

That's just unfair, there is a reason KC has been to back to back World Series and it's because they have good hitting. They are patient, they hit to manufacture runs. They play an old school game and without guys like Escobar, Cain and Gordon they probably don't get there.

Of course things like Duda being a clown doesn't help either....

I'm just saying none of their hitters are great. Maybe that's what makes them so good? Idk haven't seen them enough to make that statement.

But I think the Mets pitching should've been able to handle them better these first two games.

Biggest problem from what I've seen is poor movement on the put away pitches. KC doesn't miss when a pitcher makes a mistake and Harvey and deGrom made some costly ones.

I guess it would really depend on what your definition of great is. I don't think they are great, I just think they are a group of good to really good hitters. When you have a group of guys who go up with the intentions of Ichiro and could care less about the long ball it makes them really good. They are patient and they hit with 2 strikes. Escobar has been such an underrated player for the last 2 years it's not even funny. It's showing now.

What sucks is the Mets went up last night 3-1 and KC came right back and tied it. Tonight Degrom goes up 1-0 and immediately KC comes back and ambushes him. Embarrassing seeing Cueto dominate after going 2 innings and giving up 8 ER to Toronto.

After the crushing game 1 loss, I really felt that the Mets had to win the first deGrom start to win the series. I hope I'm wrong.

They looked defeated after deGrom got pounded. That was the final pillar of strength the Royals hadn't broken down.

I definitely thought they had to split the first two games. But losing the first two games and losing them by having Harvey, deGrom and Familia all get smacked around is demoralizing. Not to mention el capitan's choke job in Game 1. Having Cueto throw 120+ pitches in a six-run game is annoying but it's not like we would have gotten a hit off anyone regardless.

Totally agree. I also think it's a huge factor that the Royals were here last year. Most of those guys endured an off-season of what-ifs and pain about what could have been. They now have confidence against the best the Mets have to offer and they can taste how close they are. I will be really impressed with the Mets if it is 2-2 after 4 . . .

It just floors me to think how close KC was to going out of the playoffs against Houston of all teams. And it's not like they hit a big bomb to make that big comeback, they nickel and dimed the Astros to death from down 6-2.

Looked like Noah and Matz was looking at film on a tablet. Noah is our hardest thrower. I wonder what the game plan is going to be with him.

They're a good team, I stress team because they don't have just one guy. I used to work for their rookie league team and I know quite a few people in the organization. One of my best friends is a scout for them so I understand a bit about what they want to do. Look at the trades they've made, look at the guys they've let walk away and look at the guys they've built their team around. They have a "core 3" in Moustakas, Gordon and Hosmer. All home grown , all high picks but then they traded away Grienke and got Escobar and Cain. They got Wade Davis in the Will Myers deal (who was a top prospect at he time) Dayton Moore just gets it. He knows what he wants to do and knows what he is capable of doing.
