Can any of you guys kick the ball 40 yards in the air? Let's go to the Metlife parking lot and showcase it. Anything we can do to help the team guys...
There is something so strange about this franchise and how it cultivates garbage punters. It's an absolute sin we haven't drafted any with all the 6th and 7ths we've had recently.
Maybe we'll look towards hiring a coach for the position. I don't believe anyone has a punting coach and according to ESPN the Ravens are the only team with a place kicking coach. It's been a black hole since Ben Graham who wasn't too good at pinning teams deep but he could rip off some 60 yarders. After Weatherford's piss poor display last week Quigley's 28 yard punts that roll 14 yards are a lot more appealing. I just don't get why we settled this offseason for that. We need a guy that can flip field position drastically, and Quigley can't do that because he has no leg and shit hang time. The shame in it all is there are probably better guys out there but it seems to be ignored every year.
You want a punter, check this out: http://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2015/10/28/9626016/orca-punter-video-draft-him-49ers
Nice gross (distance) but the hang time on that seal was only around 4.1 sec. - even Kerley wouldn't fair catch that. Mac, send a scout to College Station.
If you wanna hear some really funny shit find the Opie and Anthony stuff on Youtube when they make fun of Vince. It's awesome stuff
Are you watching Dolphins-Pats? Miami is getting completely outplayed but their punter changed field position with a 70 yard punt, and now he bailed them out again with a 61 yarder and an illegal block penalty. What a difference a good punter makes. We've had complete dogshit around here for years.
It's amazing that a defense first team with a limited offense can't find a stud punter to flip flop the field. _
30 yard punts are very hard to watch. I just don't understand how you can't find anyone better than that.
