You're leaving out 73. Wright's game depressed me. If he's that pathetic he can't even field then sit him cause he sure as shit can't get a hit in a big spot.
Before I go I must say that I'm shocked to see that fox hired a-rod. Sent from my LG-LS720 using Tapatalk
How did that have ANYTHING to do with Familia giving up a HR in the ninth? He retired the two batters before Gordon and the two batters after Gordon easily. Shit happens, he deserves a mulligan. But I'm done defending David. And Cespedes can go scratch too for that little league blunder in the first inning and chasing pitches two feet outside.
I always used to to say this to my brother, and we'd debate Reyes or Wright....... Jose all da way, and he'd disagree
While I feel as shitty as the rest of you (thought a 1st pitch inside the park HR was instant kiss of death), I'll blindly hold hope based on in '86. They got smoked games 1&2 at Shea........ Ya Gotta Believe
Reyes was just as unclutch as Wright, and just as much of a corpse now so really it's not much of a difference other than the fact Wright's a little more of a leader off the field, that's about it.
While it bothers me that familia could not close it out, it comes down to stranding runners on base, the mets have allowed the opposition to hang around these games because they leave too many guys on base and the games are closer than what they should be. Oh well, the butterfly's are gone, game 2 should go to the mets. Split the series, sweep them at home.
It's impossible to really know, after the long layoff who knows if having to come in to pitch in the 8th messed with his head. Maybe he doesn't throw the same pitch to Gordon if Clippard (who has been pure shit since September) gets Morales whom he was ahead of 2 strike to 1 ball. He would have had 2 outs instead of 1 so maybe he pitches to Gordon completely different with 2 outs as opposed to 1. I'm willing to give Familia a mulligan as he has been electric this postseason and has done everything he's been asked (including getting 6 outs in LA) but Familia seems to implode in streaks. He had the rough stretch after the All Star Break and then he had those back 2 back games against the Padres. Hopefully that is just coincidence but I'd be lying if I didn't say I am a bit worried after tonight. Aside from Harvey not kicking and screaming to stay in the game the lack of bullpen help, and outside of Granderson and Lageres our hitters not looking like they want to get on base has me a bit uneasy.
I disagree. They recovered fine after the 1st inning fuck up and they'll be fine tonight. They might not win tonight as KC might just be a better team but they're not going to just roll over either. What worries me is the way they got shut down by a mediocre pitcher like Chris Young. Throw in both Cuddyer and Wright shitting themselves to a bum like Ryan Madson with Lagares sitting on 2nd waiting to score the go ahead run. With the way Cuddyer hasn't been swinging the bat and the way Granderson was seeing the ball you almost wonder why Cuddyer also didn't try to bunt over Lagares.
Cuddyer should never get another at bat in this series. The guy is fucking horrible. Just collect your $ and go away. The only good thing That comes out of this game is that Herrera can't go tonight. And Davis has maybe one inning in him. We need to get to Cueto early so they are forced to go back to their pen. Before the series started I wanted a split in KC. Degrom needs to give us ace stuff tonight
God fans like you are the worst. The Mets lost by one run after 14 innings, despite making every mistake and error in the book. We have a top 5 SP going tonight. If we go back to Citi 1-1 I'm pretty optimistic about our chances closing things at home.
Wright got two hits but nothing with runners in scoring position. He wasn't the only one. Offensively that's been a key problem for the Mets most of this season. Not putting hits together. For the Mets to win Cespedes has to be the leader and so far he hasn't been.
I love nothing more than internet trolls who make statements about which "fans are the worst" etc. Been a fan my entire life and frankly, just like with the Jets, my patience is basically gone after 40+ years of misery with the exception of 1986. I want to see a Mets or Jets championship more than anything but the cumulative impact of failure is wearing me out. Not sure how old the rest of you are but basically I am 1 for 84 between the Jets and Mets. I am not interested in "good seasons" or "pyrrhic victories" or "next year" etc. For over 40 years, every year has been one of those fill in your blank BS cliches teams fall back on when they lose. I want results and I want a championship now and have zero tolerance for failure. Sorry none of this doesn't fit into your definition of what a "good fan" should be. Get back to me after wasting years of watching the bumbling Bamberger Met's at Shea or your fill-in-blank Bubby Brister scrub Jet QB and ill-fated shuttle passes.

you didn't factor in FOX For Game 2, the forecast says it'll be clear, with a slight chance of technical difficulties from FOX.
draagggggin ass today. I REALLY hope they win in 9 tonight. Cutting myself off the beers in the 7th like I was at the park wouldnt be a bad idea either
