Hockey is back! Preseason action begins for the Caps tonight. I am going to stop by, watch a period, then go home for the Jets game. Haha. Who else is excited to get back on the ice? Anyone have very early Stanley Cup Predictions? I think the Caps will make a push this year. I am sure I will be wrong, but I will say Ducks-Capitals.
Blackhawks taking a lot of heat for letting Pat Kane attend training camp amid the assault scandal. Not sure exactly what the etiquette is in these situations.

I forgot how brutal Preseason Hockey can be. Yikes! As for Kane, every time I hear these kind of allegations towards pro athletes I either feel the girl is out for attention/money or he is a complete moron. Not sure which it is in Kane's case.
I can confirm he's a complete moron. not saying he raped the girl, who knows, but he is a jackass with an entitlement personality- especially around his hometown of South Buffalo. He has the "I can do anything around here and get away with it mentality" that has been partly fueled by the community and the fact that they have pretty much let him do whatever he has wanted for years... so again, not saying he raped the girl, and its a terrible situation either way... but I could see how a guy like Patrick Kane could do such a thing. especially with alcohol involved
Yeah, that is awful. I have heard from others saying he is an idiot and fully capable of actually doing that. NHL 16 dropped him off the cover. Now it just has Toews.

Hockey is back baby!!! Double header tonight on NBCSN: Rangers-Blackhawks and Sharks-Kings. Should be a couple of good games. I think the Kings will bounce back this year and have a deep playoff run. I have to change my Ducks-Caps Cup Pick because many at ESPN said the same. They know nothing about hockey, so it is not happening.
The NHL returns to our nation's capital tonight with the Devils at Caps. I'm pumped! Headed there in a couple hours.
McDavid looks legit as fuck. Canadiens are crapping in helmets and making opponents wear them. 7-0-0 right now. Philly fans were chanting "she said no" at Pat Kane the other night LOL TORTS is HC of Columbus so get your popcorn ready. 3 on 3 overtime is exciting as hell! I'm liking it.
Great first couple weeks of the season recap in one post, Jake! Caps looking pretty good too. I'm really enjoying the season so far. I want to watch more of McDavid. So far, so good.
One thing of note is McDavid has somehow brought Yakupov into relevance. So many expectations for that guy and he might actually be able to live up to them now. But then again, players like McDavid make everyone better around them.
Good game TDK Caps fire power just crushed tonight. 7-4 Caps over Oilers. Kuznetsov with a hat trick he's a beast.
Great to watch McDavid up close last night for the first time. He is so fast. Definitely a bright future. As for the Caps, I am definitely loving this fast start. Kuznetsov was kind of the key to being a great team. We knew Ovechkin, Backstrom, Oshie, Williams, etc were good, but if Kuzy could play well, it could make the top 2 lines really tough to beat. So far, he is doing better than anyone even expected. 6-1 with the only loss being without Ovechkin/Backstrom definitely has me impressed. Next game: Wednesday vs. Pens.
