I had a problem with Todd Bowles not getting into a sub package/pressure package on 3rd and 17. Even if you don't wanna blitz, you still have to give a pressure look to NE Oline. That creates matchup issues upfront. Instead, we put 4 guys up front and at least 2(Wilkerson and Richardson) of them probably got doubled. Then on 3rd down and shorter after it was 23-20, Bowles sells out and leaves Gronk wide open wtf. I think Rex wins that game.

Can we stop this pathetic madness. We lost for one reason and one reason only. Execution at the most critical times. We allowed a 3rd and 17 for a first down and a horrendous misplay for a cheap shot TD to Gronk. That sealed the game. Up till then we played them tougher than anyone could have. Mistakes will happen. We are nearly beginning to jell with our rookie HC.

Errors on both teams. They dropped a lot of balls, but we drop 2 end zone TDs, one to Cumby and the one to Marshall, which didn't help much either. Ivory playing on one leg made it tougher for us. Try were missing starters, We lost key players on D, but we both kept fighting to the end.

Disappointed, hell yes, but damned proud of this team. One thing is for sure, I'm not going to waste this site's time by seeking someone to blame for the loss. Bowles, Fitz, Marshall, Decker, Pryor, Buster, Mo, Ivory, and most all other left it all on the field.

We are not there yet. We have a few holes to plug and some more improvements to institute. I'm sure the HC will take ownership for some of the screw ups and implement a plan to fix it. THIS IS YEAR ONE OF FIXING A LIFELONG OF SHORTCOMINGS. We better not overreact because we are FAR AHEAD OF SCHEDULE RIGH NOW. And whats most refreshing than anything else is to already see the light at the end of the tunnel, not a bunch of platitudes and over the top post game speeches.

Things are definetely changing and improving ten fold, except of course for those doom and gloom Jet fans that will continue to be unhappy no matter what, and look for reasons to feel miserable till we win the SB.

What happened to the Skrine blitz he called 3 downs in a row vs Dolphins? 3rd and 17 you can't play a vanilla D vs Brady. Rex wouldn't have done that!

I'm just going to pile on and let you know what a garbage post this is.
I'm startingt to hate Jets fans. UN-f***ing real.

He is some cool video of the horrible liability we apparently have at receiver.

one dropped pass and one stupid lateral when we were down 17-0 already didn't cost us games. nor did his penalty at the end. he recovered the onside kick to even give us a chance. bad decisions and poor defense (brady shredded us in the 2nd half) cost us the game

Brandon Giveth and Brandon Taketh Away. We're just going to have to live with that and hope his strengths let us be the first team to get to the playoffs with him instead of having his lapses be one of the reasons we miss like all the others.

When he's good he's very good but when he's bad he's awful. It just is what it is.

The Jets have wound up in this situation twice in a row with Santonio Holmes and now Brandon Marshall. Teams don't give up great WR's unless there are real issues involved.

OP would rather have Clyde Gates as his starter.

To compare these 2 is an absolute disgrace Brad...

Both were signed to be the Jets #1 WR and open up opportunities for the other guys. Both drew double coverage often enough to make that happen. Both had game-breaking plays in their best moments and game-losing mistakes in their worst.

I think the comparison is an apt one. Holmes was not as talented as Marshall is due mainly to differences in size. They both had moments where their hands turned to stone and the Jets lost games as a result. They both had key fumbles that contributed to losses.

Don't get me wrong, Brandon Marshall is a great receiver but when he's misfiring he's costing the Jets games and that should not be possible at WR if you're great.

I am glad we are working these kinks out early in the season when we can afford to lose a game. Bowles had his first real test as a HC in a pressure situation. I'm sure he will learn from that.

We have a fairly easy stretch of games that will allow our team to gel and afford Fitz some time to build up some chemistry with the receivers.

However, his reckless tendencies when scrambling have me worried we will see Geno at some point when the games matter, and he's had no reps with the first team since training camp.

ROFLMAO!! How did Rex do against them earlier? They were blown out. Rex would have never even been in the game late because the team would have imploded with stupid penalties, TOs, lack of adjustments and horrible game management. Unbelievable that some fans can be so effing clueless.

Ask Mac to redo his contract with penalties for making dumb plays or not catching TD passes

See how that goes over on a Borderline Pers

IMO he has behaved himself well

If he leads the team in scoring going forward no one will complain about the ones that got away

While Marshall had 3 bad plays as a Jet - I think he's caused far more good then harm with this team. We aren't 4-2 without him - and I doubt we have a better record w/out him too.

I can't say same thing about Holmes. Holmes never really opened up anything for anyone else, all he did was cause locker room issues and acted like a malcontent.

Marshall doesn't take plays off, he may screw up but the dude doesn't take plays off like Holmes did. Holmes wouldn't even show up at all. I hope he gets it together with these mental mishaps, but he's still the main reason why we are 4-2 - he opens everything up for Decker and Ivory.

Hard to blame Marshall for everything, he's the most talented receiver we've had in almost a decade.

Even that won't be enough, LA. They'll complain because the Jets didn't win by 100 because Bowles didn't call a timeout, which would have given the chance to add the 100th point. As you said, some people will never be happy, they have to look for something to bitch about. Utterly sad and pathetic.

He dropped a TD pass. It happens, plenty of players do that.

He didn't lose us the game against Philly. It was a horrible play but there is no evidence to support the idea that we would have won had he just gone down.

Marshall is a great player and we're lucky to have him.

Rex would have designed a masterful blitz that sent the slowest players on his roster from the edge while his worst cover safety was 1 on 1 with Gronk.

    Fuck Rex.

You are probably right on. So now the blame is on Marshall because he cost us the game. Good Lord. Every WR drops passes....from Randy to Jerry to Odell to Dez to Megatron to you name it. LOL
This is a team effort folks, and the best QB in the business out gamed us and out played us in the 4th quarter. He totally capialized on the mistakes we made defensively during the last four minutes of the game.
Boy on a god note, now that Pryor is playing the role he was made to play he is becoming a key and crucial member of the secondary. When he and Buster were on the field, Brady and the WRs had nothing but challenges.
