factual and indeed we are fine to finish 9-7, maybe 10-6 if lucky ....and for some that will be heaven since last year we won 4 games. BBBUUUUUUTTTTT, the grizzled old veteran fans like myself are sick and tired of the 9-7 campaigns. the constant turnover off the field leads to more turnover on the field. until we find that QB or jack up this defense on the edges its gonna be another game just like this in January.

No, they weren't on that last play. There was an easy chance for a quick 8 yard out but our Harvard grad QB decided to be an idiot and throw it over the middle.
Awful coaching on that last play. Put Geno in for the Hail Mary or have Fitz throw it 10-15 yards to the sideline. This is the first game where I can say I'm disappointed in the coaching. That is incompetent in the final stages of the game, clock management included obviously.
You know, in reality, the strategy to take a shot from the 35 with one second would've worked if Marshall didn't move before the snap, so what's the gripe And I'm sure there were plenty of open sideline options available to throw to..
I agree with you. It's not the end of the world, but it's just so disappointing. The Jets could have won this game. They just let him off the hook. Bowles has to explain the time out situation. That was bone-headed. As for Fitzpatrick, well..that's what you get with this guy. He doesn't have the arm strength, but we all knew that. On to Oakland!!!
Let's put this in perspective. We won FOUR games last year. We have already won FOUR games this year. Our QB has NEVER posted a winning record.... and we have a rookie head coach. What do you guys expect? A SB. This team is a work in progress.
Thanks for the assessment PF2003. Patience has never been a Jet Fan long suit. Personally, I think we gave you guys your toughest game so far. I doubt if any other team comes close this year. we definetly got embarassed. media is already laughing at us for how we handled the clock late and that last play. literally, laughing. its not buttfumble, but its a close second. super discouraging loss. we learned today we dont have a real head coach. we havea coward who is in over his head
Well most qbs in the NFL can throw it 40 yards so no, you don't usually see it. Just throw it up and hope for a catch, PI, or incomplete pass running 4-5 seconds off
In reality there wasn't enough time for him to do so, that is the gripe. A side line throw was one of 3 things they could've done. A shorter throw would have allowed them to get back on the ball and spike it.
I'm not even mad. Might be because I wasn't expecting a win. It was a pretty good game to watch. Sucked that the D fail in the 4th quarter tho. Fitzpatrick impressed me at times today. Marshall drop was a killer though. Overall had a good time watching the game. On to the Raiders
