I was fine with that clock management. You burn as much clock in that first set of downs so that if you don't make it, Brady has no time. But if you do you have 3 timeouts to drive it about 35 yards.
O-Line needs to step up. Breno played like crap in the 1st half and Fitz needs to take care of the football.
My only problem with Bowles is his tendency toward conservative play calling..that 4th and a foot sometimes u got to ball up and go for it...also that last drive was pathetic ...no sense of urgency ...Bowles reminds me of Parcells except Bill would go for it quite a bit... If we are gonna have any chance we had to be within 7 at the half, we got that. I think we sit at 50/50 to win.
Thought that was Bowles first big strategic mistake of the season, sitting on the ball with 3 TOs and Pats getting it first in 2nd half. Fitz has excelled in the 2 min drill. That was a coaching mistake there, could cost us the game. 2nd half is simple - either Ivory and Marshall start playing like they have been all year, or we lose.
I certainly PRAY that the Jets penchant for having better 2nd halves continues. Not a bad 1st half at all, however, Fitzpatrick needs to get it fully together. I love his running up to now but he's GOT to do a better job, overall, throwing the ball. Let's hope Ivory is ok for the 2nd half. I hope Skrine is ok too!
Agreed, but at the same time, it was a huge risk cause if you don't make it..you're giving NE the ball at the Jets 30 (or whatever yard line it was).
