Lol ive been on these boards talking Jets for so long..I argued we shoulda kept Keyshawn. I argued for Ray Lucas, Chad Pennington, Mo Lewis....and most recently...Mark Sanchez, because I feel he got screwed here. I may have been wrong on all points. ST and QB are concerns, but as far as this season goes we go to war with who we have on the roster, not who we want. Quigley was awful which overall, dragged the entire ST unit down and Bobby April with it. The League marginalized ST's and as such, not much attention has been paid to it. Kinda like the offense under Ryan back in the beginning. Until this CS/FO views ST's as more than an afterthought, it is what it is. Qb is a work in progress. Yeah, that includes Smith. If Smith was spectacular in practice, TB might be a bit more effusive in his praise but so far its been at best lukewarm. We have Fitz, we have a 4-1 record. We have HOPE for once. For the Love of God, quit bitchin and enjoy the ride! Its not a perfect situation, but we're not on the way to 4-12 either so either root with us or get the fuck out of the way.

Fitz is no Tom Brady, but both QBs throw about 95% of their passes in the 10-15 yard range. Pats have been living off the short game since Randy Moss split, and the Jets seem to be doing the same. Don't get me wrong, chicks did the long ball, but it's not necessary to win games in the NFL.
