Who gives a shit what he said or didn't say. It what you do on the field not what you do behind a mic that wins games.
Once you disect his initial quote, place it into context, like that NJ article did, you understand he was actually following TB mantra. The problem with him, he isn't a very well spoken individual, he uses far too much slang, which makes it very easy for the media to twist it into a BS headline and get everyone worked up. He just has to be more clear with his words if he is going to engage with the media like this. Perhaps this will be a lesson learned and he will just give them meaningless BS now because of recent events, but with him, who knows?
5 pages for this crap, this is why the media will continue to bait Sheldon into making these types of comments, because they know with us there's money to be made. We'll blow these comments way out of proportion and give those writers the attention they want to turn this franchise into a circus again. There's nothing wrong with what he said. We're not the Patriots, we have to find our own identity. As long as he doesn't cross the line it's all good. Todd is going to check him when and if that happens. Until then let the man talk. Nobody is giving Pete Carroll shit for the stuff Sherman is saying, Michael Bennett is saying. Nobody is giving the Texans shit for what Watt is saying. Don't try to be the Patriots. They have their formular, we have to find our own. Leave Sheldon be...
Good for you Sheldon! Time to let the media know that the circus moved North to Buffalo so if they want off the wall commentary, there's the Buffalo Bills for their enjoyment. Just leave us the fuck alone and move on. Getting real tired of the "shit for clicks" media game.
He was asked what a win would do for this team. Would it validate the teams record. His answer was related to a hypothetical situation. People are acting like he went looking for a microphone to scream into that he guarantees victory sunday. Headlines and 5 pages over misconstrued word without anyone looking at the entire conversation.
they did it to Gilchrist last night as well with what he said about preparing for brady. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...g-for-brady-is-like-prepping-for-yes-cousins/ he breaks up the quote to take it out of context. fuck mike florio. the guy is supposed to be nbc's main football writer and he puts out clickbait garbage. sick of this crap.
After reading thru the comments attached to this, it appears that most fans are taking this the same way we are. That is, just bullshit drummed up by a writer desperate for something to write about. Man, I'm thinking this Rex Withdrawal is a serious syndrome that the CDC needs to investigate. They just can't handle that the Jets let their play do the talking now. They really miss Rex of the Jets.
they definitely are. last night i tweeted about it being bullshit and even pats fans were in agreement that its real shoddy reporting. even ones who were giving him the benefit of the doubt were saying that at best he took the quote the complete wrong way.
I'd flip you for it to see which one of us finds out but I'm not that "ballsy".....JStokes likes" hersm's" breasts, maybe we should ask him to find out? Cue the tape from the old Life Cereal commercial: "Hey, let's get Mikey to try it...."
