http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2015/10/jets_sheldon_richardson_guarantees_victory_over_ne.html nj.com took the time to put sheldons quotes into context.
We should all know by now, the Patriots are going to bring their best game every week, nothing any of our players say will change that. This will be the toughest game of the season for us, let's hope we bring our best game.
He said this: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on...-guarantees-win-over-patriots-if-jets-execute He said 'this is going to be another win for us.' The media is going to take that and run. Google Sheldon Richardson and everything that pops up is his guarantee.
Out course it is. That's what happens when the bigger news sources pay Google to get the highest search results.
Maybe we need MORE Sheldon. Fuck these assholes http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/f...tt-fumble-picture-jets-game-article-1.2407017 Patriots tweet out Butt Fumble picture ahead of Jets game BY Kevin Armstrong NEW YORK DAILY NEWS Updated: Thursday, October 22, 2015, 3:15 PM @Patriots The Patriots tweet — then delete — this picture for Throwback Thursday.
My point is that the context of the interview doesn't matter. It's what is actually said versus what the reporting is going to turn it into.
Sheldon is finally learning - don't bother attempting saying something of substance to the press. They're only looking for controversy. Sent from my SM-G386T using Tapatalk
If he doesn't learn to keep his damned mouth shut, then I will agree. Enough of that stupid BS already. I hope that Bowles kicks his ass and tells him to keep his stupid yap shut or they'll trade him to the most inept team they can find.
He's supposed to roar on the playing field, not with his mouth in the media and provide bulleting board fodder for the other team. He needs to learn to keep his stupid effing mouth shut, and you need to learn that this type of crap only hurts, and doesn't help.
You called him a talker because his words were taking way out of context. I guess i don't see your point
Should have kept reading. There's an article explaining the questions he was asked and showing he did not guarantee anything and his words were misconstrued
Perhaps, but even so, I think he needs to be smart enough to avoid even answering questions like that and let his play on the field answer the questions. When asked questions like that he can laugh, shrug his shoulders and say "No comment" or "I prefer to let our play on the field answer your question" or something to that extent.
Would you classify him as someone who doesn't talk smack? Back to back weeks he's quoted in the media. At this point it's not about what you're asked and what you say. It's about how the headlines going to be spelled out. Players have to be reasonably smarter than the questions they're asked and as a whole they're not. I don't agree with the way the media twists the words but I do recognize that it doesn't matter whether anyone agrees with it or not. It's the reality of what's going to happen.
It's hard to expect players to do that but it's not like half the league isn't asked if they think they're going to win next week. Reporters seek out the one player who will say "we're definitely going to win," so it turns their shitty reporting into headline material.
His yapping is not going to win or lose this game. If ne needs this as fuel than they are really scared of losing to us. JMO
