There are about 6-7 posters here who are rooting for Fitz to play bad and for the Jets to lose against the Pats. So they can re-ignite their narrative. You know, the back up. _
SoS stands at: Jets: 12-17 Pats: 13-16 And Patriots crushed Steelers while at it. Jets trampled on NOBODY. Jets should be very careful. They are also facing their first REAL test as well.
They're both playing their first real test, but all 4 of the Jets wins have been by at least 13 points. They're definitely taking care of business.
IMO these pats are tougher than the teams of the last 2 years or so. They have the O and using 2 tight ends in the passing game. Just what the jets need. Look I'm on the ledge almost every game but this one is next to impossible. Regardless of the outcome I would love to see Brady get the snot beat out of him. Pats have 2 rookies on the OL and lost their LT solder last week.
and yanno what? That's a f'n disgrace too. The team is winning but these "fans" are miserable because EL Cheapo isn't playing. Fuck the team, its all about their guy. 4-1? Lets nitpick every little thing and then fake like they're happy when we win.
Seriously, they are hoping Fitz shits the bed so they can hope their savior gets another chance to show his awesome potential. You know they are rooting for us to lose. You know, because of the future. And the backup. _
Just FYI, the Jets are now #5 in DVOA. http://www.footballoutsiders.com/dvoa-ratings/2015/week-6-dvoa-ratings Ron
I wouldn't say for all their problems that the Colts at home were nobody. Jets and Pats played them about the same, so that is some indicator.
And that's why in game threads, I've already warned them to keep the Geno Talk out. I may start a Geno Gameday Thread in the main forum so they can go there to commiserate. Game threads are about the game being played on the field and the players actually in the game.
Was having similar thoughts. Before this season started, I would've gladly accepted an opportunity to just compete for a playoff spot towards the ending of the year. Whenever that inevitable next loss occurs, we're gonna get same arguments on how the Jets are sitting down a potential Aaron Rodgers just so Fitz can lead this franchise to inevitable failure. Also, numerous examples on how the third year is the magical year for it to "click" so it's wrong to not believe in Geno. If Geno was to start the final 8 games and the team went 1-7, then we'd be listening to the same fans telling us how the fourth year is when it all comes together and we just need to show more patience.
I can't help it - even after more than 30 years of this I'm still an optimist. I have visions of the Jets D-line smacking Brady around in this game, with seven men in coverage to cut off his quick throws. I'm not saying it's going to happen. My visions have let me down before...
Lol yep... i, as a Geno supporter will support no other QB in a NYJ uniform ever and hope we lose just so i can see Geno play... -________- you people just make up your own stuff on here i swear lol. I'm a "If it aint broke don't fix it" type fan. I like a lot of what i see from Fitz and he's winning games... Geno is an after thought to me at this point. Prior to this season i always hated Fitz and wasn't about to believe he was much of an upgrade until he proved otherwise, which he has. Geno was killing the guy in camp competition and he's like a decade younger and im a WVU fan so i been in support of my boy despite the fact that 98% of you hate him. But fitz has us @ 4-1 i see no need in a QB change unless Fitz gets hurt. And Petty is the future here as we all know as well. But really "They are rooting for us to lose to see Geno" is about the dumbest shit i've ever read. Stop reaching for TGG "likes". P.S. Geno still better, but i'm content with Fitz.
Where was this in past years when posters crapped on Sanchez during game threads because they wanted to see Tebow or McElroy? Or Geno because they wanted to see Simms or Vick? If this was the other way around I'd doubt you'd be threatening to ban anyone if people brought up Fitz while Geno was playing poorly.
