It really is a weird trend. Most times a failed HC goes to a college job or becomes an NFL coordinator. In the past decade and a half, ours always fool the world into thinking they were victims and get another chance to fail.
Haha. They're such good HC it's just that the Jets are such a mess that we prevented them from winning the SB.
Part of me thinks that Woody is such a corporate marshmallow that he makes up their resumė for them on the way out the door. He's the only common denominator.
I do. I think he's the 2nd best defensive coach in the league, he's interesting, he shares the same philosophy on football (ground and pound) as I do, he won with the worst QB situation in the league and he wanted to be here for the rest of his career. That said, I've seen some good things (and some bad things) out of Bowles and I am optimistic.
Well ... in the cases of Belichick and Pete Carroll, they did go on to win Super Bowls elsewhere. Herm was dog feces.
Rex had sanchez and geno with him. the 2 worst qbs in football since they came into the league. granted rex admittedly was never great at being hands on with the offense, but i dont think he ever had the competancay or playmakers we have now. he did have our run game at the top of the league.... rex's biggest flaw has always been believing too much in a lost cause (sanchez) TL; DR
Rex the GM/personel guy/talent evaluator wasnt good. rex the coach was. i think thats what it boils down to. the front office and ownership is went sent this team from playoff contender to dog turd.
the bills arent 6-0, they are 3-3. their loses came to teams with a combined record of 14-3. people here are making it sound like the bills are getting blown out by trash teams every week. we would probably be 3-3 or at best 4-2 if we played their schedule. they could very well be 4-1 too if they played our schedule
Short answer: No. Long answer: Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Ron
I'm sure U realize that RR was hire to sell tix just like Woody did to him in NYC. Once that value is gone Peluga will come to his senses & terminate RR just like Woody did
Rex was also hired because the Bills had a theoretically great defense and a questionable offense and Rex has been one of the few coaches willing and able to try to win with that type of configuration. Tyrod Taylor was a dead giveaway that Rex was capped there but the Bills could have gone 10-6 this year and made the playoffs.
Braylon Edwards/Santonio Holmes/Jerricho Cotchery/Dustin Keller/Thomas Jones/LaDanian Tomlinson on top of Mark Sanchez/GeNO. He didn't exactly have [NOTHING] as you want to make it look like. Give it up, son. When was the last time Rex's team showed a half semblance of accountability OR discipline? I don't see that from the Bills this year either.
Rex is probably a nice guy, but he is weak at evaluating talent (Clyde Gates, Quinton Coples, Mark Sanchez), he provides no discipline and his teams make stupid penalties or call stupid timeouts, he's terrible at half time adjustments, and he is even worse at clock management. THAT is why the jets had 4 consecutive non-winning seasons with him the last 4 years including 4-12 last season.
