Why would we keep Stacey? He's not even on the current roster. Stacy, however, is currently our return man and has outplayed Powell in the last couple of games granted Powell has been injured.

Also an additional spot will now be needed for Ridley.

Belichick always benched him for fumbling because the ball was under-blown.

That year long absence of you will make up for it.

Powell has been underwhelming. I thought Stacy was ok on Sunday. But Ridley is a cut above those guys if he's healthy and that's a big if. Someone talked about Sproles. That kind of back could really fit in here. I know we're not going to get him. A guy I like a lot is Brandon Oliver with the Chargers. Love to sign or draft a guy like that. Short, fast and strong.

Hopefully he returns as the type of player he was before the injury. If he does, Ivory can get less of a workload which will keep him fresher down the stretch. If I had to pick between cutting Powell or Stacy to keep Ridley, I'd cut Powell.

I'd cut Stacy, and would not consider signing Stacey whatsoever. But, I would also cut Powell, and would sign Powell to return Kick Offs. In lieu of losing Enunwa.

    Aw shiot. Edit:
I just saw that Powell was picked up by Oakland. I'm reckoning that explains the Kenbrell Thompkins signing.

Fuck it. Let him do Kick Returns

    :)

Sucks to say this because he's been a solid player first through the years, but if I had to choose a trio of running backs I would cut Powell and go Ivory, Ridley and Stacy. I was extremely down on Stacy coming into this year but he's been decent running the ball and has shown flashes catching the ball. I feel like Powell has yet to make an impact other than the few big gains in garbage time. I could be wrong though.

When are you guys gonna figure it out
They are not cutting any RBs when Ridley comes back, you need all RBs you can get, they way they get injured

We really don't need ANYONE returning kicks to the 10 yard line. Just someone to take a knee and then move the ball out to the 20, like every other team does.

Punts is a different thing. A good punt returner changes the game in an instant. The other team has already been defeated and forced to punt, then the ball gets ran almost back to where it was hiked from. A good punt return is like a turnover, knife in the heart.

Edit: fuck it I'd put Chris Ivory back there returning punts. Add 14 more points to the game!

No thanks on Ivory returning punts. Cannot afford to risk any injury to him.

Powell should be the odd man out; Stacy has looked better IMO.

Still wish we kept CJ2K... he woulda been perfect for chan's offense.. We got Johnson and used him like he was Jerome Bettis.. no sweeps no screen plays.. just plain stupidity i hated Morningwood's guts. I like Ridley too though, he can catch but he's just too similar to Ivory to me...there's no mix up.. but could definitley be effective have them both strong all game long.. Let ivory wear defenses down then let Ridley come "Kick in the door"

These dudes need to tone down the TD celebrations. That's how Odell hurt himself last week. I pulled a hammy watching those GIF's

I don't want anybody taking carries away from Ivory and not just because he is on my fantasy teams either. He is certainly my first. second and third choice to carry the ball and anybody else is just a wasted play as we see every week.

Zac Stacy becomes expendable if needed for a guy like Ridley. Adding Ridley to our backfield would be a huge plus.

I don't know that Stacy is expendable with Powell hurt. I don't think they'll cut Powell since they just gave him a new deal this offseason and he'll count against the cap, but like I sad if I had to choose a three-man unit right now... Powell is the odd man out. Even when healthy, Powell has been outplayed by Stacy.

I guess that rules out Owusu returning against the Pats unless the Jets are making the move to dick with Belichick's preparation.
