Actually, his scrambling ability has been quite good. His passing is what's ridiculously shaky.

You don't like the starting QB of your favorite team? That's cool.

I didn't mean it to be a Valentine. All I suggested was he doesn't take sacks.

He's not great. He's not even really good.

But after watching years of awful QB play, I'm kind of satisfied to finally have a guy not losing games for us.

I never thought we'd even compete for a Wild Card, much less a SB.

It's entertaining for me to be watching games that mean something in October.

The only thing I'm concerned about next week is that Fitz is going to have to go long. Pats will sit on the short routs and stuff the box vs. Ivory and make Fitz beat them long. They're cheaters, but they are not stupid.

It's funny, every single QB makes plays like that with ridiculous catches but not our QB. He doesn't get credit for them.

And the drops and the 2 ridiculous fumbles?

Fitz could have put up 40 points today.

haha yeah folks will be critical but you have to love his decision making so far , would geno make the same decision?? we`ve seen that movie , look we still need a future QB I love geno talent he has the arm and legs to get out of trouble its between the ears he has the problem he still could be the answer with good coaching but for now lets ride with 4-1 fitz!!!

Fitz did well today. But since we're post-win nitpicking, on a short pass over the middle to shaky hands Chris Enunwa, Fitz had Zac Stacy sitting there all alone as a checkdown and never looked at him. That said, I'll take 4-1.

some of you are a little spoilt, I mean the last few years w have been utterly disgusting to watch, we are getting the job done and it is exciting.I mean we can all agree a guy with flashy numbers like Rivers might be better but their running game is non-existent we have Ivory who is a beast and the defense to allow Fitz to play relatively mistake free-. We are good and that's all i care about

    And we'll probably lose.

We're not winning a SB this year or dethroning the Pats*.

He has one thing going for him that nobody else the Jets could be playing right now does, which is the magical thinking. He's playing with the mindset of a rookie who thinks he can beat the world but there's a decade of experience to draw on.

As a 40+ year Jets fan I'm really enjoying that. Vick played scared every down he played for the Jets last year. Fitzpatrick is playing with a "oh wtf go for it anyway" attitude.

So a perfect 10 yard strike to Enunwa that gets dropped and you want to second guess that he should have checked down to Stacy?

That's not what a check down is for.

That's not nit-picking. That's really bad 20-20 hindsight. Or Monday morning QBing. Or something like that.

We have the perfect set of receivers to make Fitz successful , big physical targets that will take the ball away from defenders or act as defenders themselves if it's necessary.
He may not be the perfect QB but he just may be the perfect QB for this team right now.

Of course but if your expectations are that we're winning the AFCE and winning the SB, you should get used to disappointment.

Whether he's the perfect QB for this team or not, he's the only one we have.
