This isn't going to go away. The problem is that Hillary probably believes that she can win through it unless she's indicted. She's probably right. The GOP really hates centrist Democrats with a passion. They spent 8 years trying to get Bill, they've spent 6 plus hating Obama and they hate Hillary. It's really scary to be the party on the right when a centrist politician who looks electable shows up on the other side. the GOP has proven they'll get out the napalm and start firebombing immediately when that happens.

No, it's just important to note that tactics sets the tone and the GOP is more responsible for the angry, divisive trend in national politics than any other single factor. Scorched earth is a fine way to win as long as you don't mind living in smoldering ruins all the time.
