That's not going to happen. Dee Milliner isn't going to get a big second contract out of the Jets unless he starts next season and does well. The other two guys were both high picks but not firsts and they won't come up for a second deal until 2018. If the Jets haven't seen anything out of them by then they'll just be cuts.

Charles is now injured and Murray won't ever be the same after last season's absurd amount of touches. Lynch is injured and has too much wear and tear, he's on a quick decline.

Ivory has such good yards after contact that he makes our average o-line look good.

Top 3, but Gurley looks damn good.

The guys I think will be gone are Pace, Cumberland, Kerley, Giacomini, and Brick (have you seen his cap numbers going forward?). This coaching staff obviously has no use for Kerley. Guys like Coples and Milliner will be around for at least a couple more years no matter how much this board whines about them.

I absolutely wouldn't mind if Coples and Milliner stick around.

I just don't know if Coples will. Jets will need to clear a litte bit of cap room.

Can't see them getting rid of Brick. They'll probably restructure him.

There's no way D'Brick is gone next season. The Jets have no heir apparent LT to replace him even assuming they wanted to.

It's possible they use their 1st rounder on a LT but I'm thinking they probably have bigger fish to fry with that pick.

Correct. As much as I like Macc, he's playing the veteran card for Oline and hasn't legitimately addressed any of the line impact positions in the draft or FA at all.

    Brick is here to stay.

Well, it's going to be one hell of a restructure, then. That or we keep him at the expense of losing some serious parts of our precious D-line talent.

i dont think he is the 3rd best, let alone by far the 3rd best. to be honest, he is probably gihting to be on the roster. he isnt really all that good. and if he cant improve on punt returns they he doesnt add much value to the team

    agreed he is staying.

I'd even go as far as retaining Brick AND using the first round pick on a OT.
can upgrade the RT spot while having a plan for Brick's eventual replacement.

What bigger fish to fry? The offensive line should be the NUMBER ONE priority in the offseason. There is no way we go all defense in the upcoming draft unless the OL crop is terrible. That would be insane given our needs.

How is he not the 3rd best receiver after Marshall and Decker?

No one is saying he's an elite player, but to say he isn't good is way off base.

OT is priority number one at next years draft. BPA is in play as always, we don't want to pass up on the top rated QB or LB or something if somebody should fall on our laps, but OT is our top need given how we seem to have NOTHING developing there behind D-brick and Breno.

At least we sort of have some upside at QB with Smith and Petty. theres a couple average prospects at linebacker as well. but OT? NOTHING.

Bingo. If Brick or Mangold go down we ate seriously in trouble. Need to build up some backups at those positions.

There are likely to be veteran QB's on the market next season with Drew Brees the guy leading the pack. If the Jets get to the playoffs and lose I wouldn't be surprised to see them make an all-in attempt to get Brees in here to get the team over the top.

Going to be a lot of contract restructuring for the Jets to nab him.. Brees makes bank next year.
