Terry comments didn't exactly instill much confidence. I hope the team doesn't have a happy we made it this far attitude.
Yea not the best choice of words from TC. Not really the type of mindset you wanna hear from a manager before a series deciding game. To me this season has been a success no matter what happens tonight but Im still gonna be pissed if we lose. Its a losers mentality to say what he said.
It'll be tough to beat Greinke who arguably was the best pitcher in MLB this season. And we're the underdog http://www.vegasinsider.com/mlb/odds/las-vegas/?s=100 no big surprise there. And the offense has been inconsistent all season long. But if they can scratch out 3 runs we have a good chance. The key figures are of course de Grom and Cespedes. And then there's Familia.
Just wanted to check in and say Good luck. Hopefully my birds are seeing your boys in a couples weeks.
I think Terry's just trying to take the pressure off the kids. Do what you've done all year and Go have fun....We can win this game Jake is capable of matching Greinke. We can get to Greinke It's a tough one for sure Let's Go Mets!!
Throw it out there fans... Pick a MVP of the night for both teams. Mets: Conforto Dodgers: Justin Turner
I have a feeling Degrom's confidence level is at an all time high right now. I expect a great game out of him. I wouldn't be surprised if he pitches a no hitter or shutout tonight. If we end up losing tonight, all the fans will be talking about is that dirty Utley slide that cost them the series. I don't want to be thinking about that for the entire off season I feel that Conforto will make an impact tonight. He homered in his very first post season at bat against Greinke, so I look for him to do big things.
I hope you're right about Conforto but if I had to choose between him and Greinke I'll take Greinke to neutralize him tonight. I'm sure he's thinking a lot about Conforto and how to pitch him. I'll take Murphy to again be a factor with a couple of doubles and 2 Rbis. And Wright to get a key hit. Like maybe a solo Hr. Curtis: 2 BBs. and two runs scored. Mets MVP : Murphy. Dodgers: Turner. winner: Mets win 3-2.
If the Mets lose, I'll be miserable tomorrow. But I'm stocked for this game and am gonna believe we will win until that last out is made.
It's hard not to be a Debbie Downer, and Negative Nancy about this game. My heart is trying to overcome my brain. LGM, though!!!!
