I see. it's probably a very good thing there was no Internet when I was in school. I probably would have been in a lot more trouble than I ever was. Not that I was a bad kid, but I got into my fair share of really dumb shit.
You young guys just have no idea what life was like before you were attached to your acquaintances like a beeping remora at all times of the day. We used to have this thing called privacy and it has bitten the big one.
Remember how much fun life was before you voluntarily put an electronic leash around your neck? Mothers, wives, bosses and other troublemakers didn't have the ability to make you justify your whereabouts 24/7.
Some people were growned up with the feeling of invincibility that came with pointing a webcam at their balls.
If you look at just about anything guys like pclfan post in the political threads you really get an appreciation of how the internet encourages the mediocre and ignorant.
There's no mediocre and ignorant in this brave new world. Only curious and ashamed, with a little psychologically twisted thrown in accidentally.
Nobody Else? Like...Oh Gee Maxim? Playboy is making a simple choice. Combating declining subscribers by getting the magazine out from behind the counter, and onto the regular shelving. Tough math there. Once the innovator, now the imitator.
Maybe Hefner is planning to become Caitlyn Hefner and they can compete with Cosmopolitan for the women and gay subscribers
Why are they still pushing out print in the first place? Printed media is in a state of terminal decline, their declining sales have nothing to do with "nude vs semi-nude". Rebranding is meaningless when you ignore basic trends.
Hefner is old now and targeting his demographic by putting clothes on the models. Air brushing was getting too expensive.
Printing might be making a comeback. For example Ebook purchases have dropped while paperback book purchases have risen.
