interesting use of language...blowing smoke and joint? eh, please he needs to prove it not talk about it.
it will be interesting to see how much we can get all our big dlinemen on the field at the same time. I guess this will be more of a rotation strength than anything.
Leonard--Sheldon--Mo--Coples on passing downs is devastating......I know Coples isn't that great but he atleast commands attenion when he's motivated and can make a big play here or there Can't wait to see what Bowles does
Are you kidding? We can play these 4 down linemen on any down or situation, as a group. We have the backend to protect against 4-5 wides, and can litter the secondary with coverage knowing they can blow the run plays I on their own. I like it. 3-4, 4-3, nickel, dime, you name it..... It's all a strength for us on defense. No injuries, please!!!
we have three 3-4 d-ends in wilk, richsrdson and williams. none of these guys is a prototypical 43 de.
Leonard Williams is ranked 5th or 6th best 3/4 DE right now... that's ridiculous. We really have mastered drafting D-Line here.
All 3 have both produced as 4-3 DEs ... prototypical? absolutely not, but they are still very productive playing anywhere on the defensive line in any formation. Jets lack an edge rusher, but if Mauldin steps up then maybe the problems are solved in regards to that.
I wouldn't be shocked if we see Wilk or Richardson being moved before the trade deadline. I know that sort of trade doesn't happen often in the NFL but we have such a wealth of talent at the position.
A welcome addition back to the D but a very hard guy to root for. He's irresponsible and unremorseful for his actions. And he's not quite Greg Hardy tone-deaf but he isn't far off. I hope he does well as it helps the team, it's just hard to root for his personal success.
Maccagnan hasn't locked up Wilkerson yet, so you have to wonder what his plan is with him. There's also the potential issue of having to pay 3 stud 3-4 defensive ends, which I believe Mac is too smart to do.
