There are very few crazed killers out there. There are a lot more people walking around packing because they're worried about crazed killers. Those people tend to kill in aggregate many more people than the crazed killers who prompted them to carry a gun in the first place.

There's nothing scarier than somebody carrying a gun who believes they are justified in using it in a public place.

I lived in Bay Ridge Brooklyn in 1985-1987.

It was the safest neighborhood I think I've ever lived in.

No breakins, nobody stealing stuff from cars, no muggings, no rapes, no car thefts, no murders, nothing.

Until the weekend we moved out and some dude showed up in the trunk of a car, bound and gagged and shot 4 times. The police determined it he died of natural causes.

    It was a message.

Because he fucked with the wrong people. It was a mob controlled area and since you never knew who you were fucking with, nobody fucked with anyone.

There was a fear factor involved, an unsteady respect one has when they don't know how dangerous the venue is that they are venturing into to cause harm.

Sometimes you end up in the trunk of a car with bullets in your head.

Three towns over in Canarsie petty crimes were off the board. My brother was a homicide detective in both Bed Stuy and Brownsville which typically alternate between being the murder capitals of NY.

You know why? Because no one respected anyone, no one feared anyone.

That shit didn't happen in Bay Ridge.

    Holy hyperbole.

NOTHING scarier than someone carrying a gun who believed they are justified in using it in a public place?

How about being lined up in a classroom and asked whether you are Christian or not and being summarily executed or just knee capped by a psychopath.

How about sitting in a movie theater when a crazy guy with an idiotic manifesto starts mowing people down.

How about children sitting in classrooms as they hear a gunman going room to room shooting classmates in the head.

    Are you fucking kidding?

Nothing scarier than someone carrying a gun who believed they are justified in using it in a public place?

I get it that you're just here to get a rise out of people but think before you hit "post reply".

    You sound like an idiot.

I'm not. I've never met a George Zimmerman before. I have been on campus when a crazed killer walked through classrooms and started executing people.

Idzik was misunderstood as a GM it took exceptional skill and wherewithal to terminate contacts with no guaranteed money. "It's not that easy", people.

This might be a stupid question but nonetheless here goes.. To my understanding of the amendments, those are federal laws, right? If someone did happen to get caught with a concealed gun in these areas, couldn't they get out of whatever punishment it is because it's a federal law to be able to carry a concealed weapon?
