Utley won't be the one that gets beaned because he's not even good enough to be a starter anymore. And the Mets need to be careful how they handle this because winning game 3 is much more important than getting revenge for game 2. There WILL be retribution, but we don't know when and we don't know who will be receiving that 99 mph fastball to their lower extremities. We can't afford Harvey to get ejected. I think the young and promising Seager should be on the lookout when someone is barreling down on him coming into 2nd.
There is no way the Mets don't retaliate. If they don't, then they paint a bullseye on every star on the roster. I'm not talking that bullshit payback with Clemens either after beaning Piazza. I have a feeling that Mattingly won't put Utley at the plate the entire time in NY. He knows payback is coming, we know it, the league knows it. The refs should be suspended twice as long. At least Utley had motivation to try and win the game; there is no such reasonable excuse for purposefully poor umpiring.
