That's one case that happened in the Dominican Republic, and again, he was not convicted. Just like that smear site you keep going back to with a bunch of allegations and no real evidence, or convictions. They always refer to accusations, many of which were proved to be bogus. I don't know how they do things in the Dominican Republic, but that's one case, one article. You can dig up online articles, but I know from experience how the Catholic Church works in the U.S. I've been to seminaries, I've even been through the application process, so I know how difficult it is; all of the steps you have to go through, the background checks, psychological testing, etc.

You know nothing but what you read from smear articles you find online, pushing an Anti-Church agenda, and you conveniently ignore all of the articles that don't fit that agenda. So just stop it already, it's really getting old.

Listen to what you just said .... You love your child, he just has to be a child in a way that is not a child, like he can't even eat glue, or eat those candy-colored pills he found in your closet, or cross the street without looking both ways, and you force him to eat his dinner before he has dessert, in fact kids like to eat candy all the time, that's what being a kid IS, so just let him be a KID already ... and school, kids don't like school, so just let him stay home and be a KID ..... ..... see how ridiculous what you just said is?

And I'm attracted to women, but that doesn't mean I can act on it any way I want...according to what the Church teaches, I'm not supposed to have sex outside of marriage, or commit adultery once I'm married. And if I want to join a religious order, I have to make vows of celibacy, meaning I can't have sex with anyone, since I cannot be married. And if I was tragically born without a cock (SHUT UP! lol), my disability would prevent me from having sex. That would be a cross I would have to bear. Just like an individual who experiences same sex attraction may have to discipline themselves...similar to how a diabetic has to resist that jelly donut...heck, if I see a sexy woman at the mall I can't just jump her bones, I have to resist my sexual attraction in that case as well. It's about mastering oneself; similar to the discipline required over years of training to become an olympic athlete. And gay people have many wonderful gifts that they can use, and are often good, sensitive people who help out society in many ways and live fulfilling lives. We have been brainwashed in our culture today to think that sex is EVERYTHING. This has not been the case in most societies throughout history, those that valued honor, discipline, integrity, etc.

He is a really skilled troll. At least I hope he's trolling. But then again he's a Catholic.

You're the idiot who said not one priest has ever been convicted of sexually abusing children when you've been given proof of HUNDREDS with thousands more convicted and protected by the Church.

Even your own Church admits it but you keep lying to yourself and trying to bullshit us.

Catholic priest rape little boys, have been doing it for decades and its not stoping.

Your church is rife with gay pederasts but you contine you with your nonsense about male to female genitalia being the only acceptable sex.

    You sound like a fool.

By the way, that rapist Archbishop wasn't convicted because he died while awaiting trial while under HOUSE ARREST AT THE VATICAN.

The problem with your analogy is that the only group that see something wrong with the lives homosexuals lead is the catholic church. No leading medical authority has said you can get sick from homosexuality like a child can from eating glue and an adult's prescription pills. No studies have shown that homosexuals do no succeed in this world like a child that does not finish grade school. It is only your church that has a problem with it.

But the good thing is the only drawbacks from being homosexual is that they can not participate in worshiping some make believe man in the sky and they may not get to go to the mythical place you call heaven or what ever they call it now. Really not missing anything.

There is only one ridiculous person posting in this thread and it isn't me.

I went to the confirmation of my GFs nephew this weekend.

    About 50 kids.

Odds are 3-4 of them are gay and I sat there thinking about the hypocrisy of the church and how the ceremony was about welcoming Jesus into your heart and that confirmation wasn't the end but the beginning of their entry into the faith.

And I just felt so badly for those 3-4 kids that they will never be accepted by the Church they were being confirmed by.

And then I looked at the bishop and wondered how many kids he had butt fucked.

The church will gladly have them come on Sundays to fill the coffers but it would be sacrilege for them to live their lives in a way that is fulfilling to them and makes them happy. One of the many reasons I am against most organized religion.

Yeah, lets feel all kinds of guilt for naturally given inclinations, its a shortcut to living and thinking
Organized religion is a license to be irrational.

You are finally correct about one thing "Meeker is a medical doctor." There is no indication she is qualified to speak to psychological or psychiatric issues. You claim she references "numerous scientific studies" that "were careful scientific studies." That is just more nonsense you made up to support your viewpoint. Meeker's conclusions are hers alone and cited for the purpose of selling more of her books to the uneducated and unwary.

What you have done here, more than anything else, is to belie your claim that there is no such things as "personal truths" by exposing your own in the face of reality.

Back in mortal sin territory again, truth, when you lie about the vastness of clerical sexual abuse of children and the lack of appropriate, effective concern by church officials. For a guy who claims to be such a serious catholic your cavalier attitude about these lies, and their mortal sin implications, is perplexing; perhaps you read these comments with your fingers in your ears chanting "na, na, na, na, na!"

Talking to you is like throwing a ping pong ball against a brick wall, it will never get through. It is just amazing how completely out of touch with reality you are.
How you can take doing illegal drugs and compare it to someone who is living their life with a same sex partner is just incomprehensible. You are just a worthless human being.
I find it hilarious that those that claim to be so good are actually the worst human beings who are not accepting if you do not fall within their guidelines.

As far as you saying, "Those safeguards were put in place a quarter century ago.". They must have been shit safeguards because kids are still being raped by priests to this day.

These are all within the last 18 months

In Kerala, Catholic Priest Arrested for Allegedly Raping 9-year-old
Priest with history in Kern County arrested for alleged sexual crime

Catholic priest arrested for showing child pornography to minor
Hibbing priest arrested on suspicion of sexual abuse

There are many more but just posted a few to dispel your notion that it is a thing of the past.

I think they are testing our perseverance, seeing how long we will tell the same person, the same thing, over and over.

They are letting it build up enough before dumping it back on to the biggest offender from a great height. 100 pages of shit ought to be enough.
