have a shitty reliever do it after we pull Harvey with a 6 run lead in the 7th. Just bring out some scrappy reliever so he can do the deed and get ejected.

You'd think after all the years of fucked up JETS games that I'd be numb to this kind of disappointment, but I'm so fucking pissed right now. That whole inning was a radioactive abortion, starting with Collins' shitty panic driven pitcher swaps, to the bushleague "slide".... I'm glad I watched it at home instead of going to a bar like I planned...

I just hope HArvey can make it to the 7th and Chase comes in to PH....... BONG! right off the noggin!

Utley slides with his knees into Tejada on purpose, not even feet first, doesn't even GO for the bag let alone touch it. Runs to the dugout in pain. Only AFTER the umps deem him safe does he return to the bag. He's out. This play will be remembered for years. And you better believe Utley will be plunked preferably right in his temporal lobe. This was a turning point in the series and I just hope it fires us up even more because now we are definitely facing Kershaw again in Game 4. Harvey has to excel. I would have kept Noah in even with runners on the corners. Nobody in this bullpen can be trusted outside of Familia. Koufax was probably laughing when they took Noah out.

Collins I thought played it perfectly. He knows exactly what they are going to do to the Dodgers and the shmuck they traded for at the deadline. He took the high road and he should. Gonzalez, Turner, and especially Kershaw should be watching out when our flamethrowers take the mound.

it doesn't really matter if we win this series or not. We can't win a W.S. with no bullpen.

Anyone calling for beaning Dodgers is a dope. That same neanderthal mentality is what caused Utley to assault Tejada. MLB is really at fault here though, Utley should've been ejected and suspended after viewing that replay, not rewarded. If there is any retaliation it will be on their heads as well for not handling the situation properly in the first place.

That was absolute borderline assault by Utley. At least attempt to make like your trying to reach base. Torre looked like a kid watching his first porno describing potential charges for Utley. You know Harvey is going to stick the first pitch behind his ear.

Do you guys think the umpires will warn both teams before the game starts? That would suck.

The worst part of it all (besides a player's career put in jeopardy) is that the Umpires didn't get the call right, even when they had chance to review it.

As frustrating as this all is, damn I forgot how exciting post-season baseball is.

He's already hated enough anyway, might as well get Robles to do it.

Probably wont matter. Even if it doesnt come in the early part of the game (likely because Utley is too garbage to even start in that average offense) it will come eventually.

I remember Harvey's first start of the season he beaned Utley and gave him the staredown.

I'm never one for pitchers to head hunt but with that type of play and now with the Tejada result , some hardcore shit needs to go down.

If it causes a brawl and suspensions are handed out so be it.

No, this is way the game works, and has for 100 years.
The players have to be able to police themselves to prevent douche bag dumb asses from doing stupid shit that can seriously hurt someone. Guys are running full speed with catching a guy off balance because you try to iniate contact rather than avoid it is flat out dangerous.

The same reason that fighting is a part of hockey, guys on ice skates with a frickin hooked stick in their hands can do a lot of damage if left unchecked.

You can't count on the refs/umpires to take care of it, because they don't as exhibited last night.

This the playoffs, as disgusting as it was, the bigger picture is the team needs to take a breather and win the series, they cannot lose their focus.

Their will be time for retaliation another time.

When you start your slide at the bag you're not attempting to reach the base.

At least start your slide before you even get to the bag.

That was not hard nosed good aggressive baseball.

    That was plain old dirty.

Torre has to suspend that POS.

What a joke. Tell me how anyone can use their judgement and say he didn't interfere with Tejada.

Lost in the Chase Utley bullshit was Collins' bad move of not letting Noah pitch out of that situation. I was already pissed, then after the "slide" debacle my head almost exploded.
