I would be shocked if the Skins don't stack the box and make Fitz beat them thru the air. They're gonna take a good long look a that Philly game and parrot what they think will be successful. This will definitely be a test for Fitz and Gailey. Not a cakewalk by any stretch.
Let them look at that philly tape all they want. We didn't have Ivory or decker. Two of our 3 best offensive weapons.
They're gonna stack the box. They're crazy if they don't take away the running game. If our OLine remains dominate, this won't be a problem but if they force the game on Fitz, we could be in for a long day.
Every team is stacking the box. Having two 6'4+ WRs on the outside is such an advantage vs just having BMarsh. One of Marshall or Decker will win their respective battle. The biggest thing for the Jets for the entire season is to make sure Fitz stays upright. If he has time, he will find someone open.
And therein lies the issue.. The Skins will force the game to Fitz and he's gonna have to step up. Having our Wr's is meaningless if our OLine doesn't show up all 60mins. We can safely assume the Skins will sell out against the run especially with Ivory gaining 166 against the likes of Cam Wake and NDonkeyKong Suc.

I think we are arguing/stating two different things. If the Skins want to sell out to stop the run, so be it. Our WRs better win 1v1 matchups. If they stack 8 in the box that doesn't mean our OLine won't be able to pass block because they won't leave 3 or 4 guys in coverage all game.
The Pats are gonna route us. Gronk alone will shred us. Sucks, but it's a bad matchup. We really need to beat the Skins.
As usual, our defence should be able to restrict them enough so that we don't have to do anything crazy on offense.
We should win this game. I would be shocked if the Skins put 10 points on our defense with inconsistent QB play from Cousins. Washington's secondary is terrible. DeAngelo Hall has made a career out of getting torched by receivers and Breeland isn't very good either. Their run D however is very good.
I don't get why you think this. The Jets were (4-12) last year and still only lost to the Patriots 27-25 and 17-16. Revis has flipped sides too. Not saying the Jets will win, but they can surely take them.
