I'm not trying to be antagonistic I'm just telling them how it truly is from someone who's been through it. I actually feel sorry for those saps Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Capital idea. Now, who wants to register there as "Bills Over Jets," a transgender Bills diehard? …..once, twice, three, shoot! : )
http://boards.buffalobills.com/showthread.php?518436-Rex-is-being-ridiculous Sounds so familiar...OP in that thread is reminding me of myself going after Rex on the discipline.
Here's another: http://boards.buffalobills.com/showthread.php?518524-Starting-to-have-doubts-about-the-Rex-hire "Gotta admit I loved the hire at first but now I am having SOME doubts about him. The team is just playing so undisciplined, and all the penalties are really concerning. Also, I thought Rex was supposed to be a "defensive genius"? In 2 out off our first 4 games our D has played liked crap. Hopefully I'm wrong and Rex improves this team as the season rolls along. Guess we'll see."
bills fans already miss Schwartz. I never thought the rex hire made sense there, mostly because they already had a top d. seems the d has regressed so far. I don't think many would have predicted that.
love rex but its the same problems team is undisciplined, a million penalties, all talk, blaming himself and not holding players accountable, and same slow out of touch offense he is a tremendous defense coach but he refuses to make the adjustments needed in todays nfl
They'll still make the plaYoffs though. But just imagine if his team for one can stop making stupid errors.
Way too early to say. They have a lot of talent, but in quintessential Rex fashion, have been up one week and down the next. It's not just stupid, unforced errors. They have also had some major issues defending the middle of the field. They are good, but their defense is a bit overrated. In watching them, I actually think one of the more impressive things about them is the Tyrod Taylor find. I think he has a chance to be solid.
they shoulda made Schwartz the HC. that defense last year was built for modern day defensive dominance. use your amazing d-line to rush the passer and confuse the QB with a nice mix of man and zone on the backend. Now they are blitzing corners and LBs off the edge too much for no reason.. asking too much from their secondary and leaving the middle of the field open too much. Also for some reason Rex is putting Jerry Hughes in coverage too much. Hughes is weak in coverage but dominant as a pass rusher on this line. His hand should be in the dirt and he should be focused only on sacking the QB. from 3rd in the NFL in passing D to 3rd to last. Rex has issues with adjusting to personnel. He needs to let his players do what their skill sets are made for. Also, his system is becoming outdated. You can't do the same thing for 6+ years and expect people to not figure it out. I don't think its a coincidence that they are 2-2 with their 2 wins to weak coaches in Pagano & Philbin and 2 losses to smart coaches in Belichick & Coughlin who know what Rex does and adjusted accordingly. I hope Decker is healthy when we play them because he could have a big day across the middle. You know Gilmore will match up on an island with Brandon Marshall and do a pretty good job but that'll leave Decker the ability to gash them across the middle and in the red zone
Mike Rodak is hardly representative of the "Buffalo Media"... he is just ESPN's beat writer for the Bills. He's a chowder head anyway. Providence College grad and previously a reporter for ESPNboston. btw next time people complain about Cimini - remember it could be worse. We could be buffalo and have a guy from ESPNboston that wasn't good enough to cover the Patriots full-time as our BSPN beat writer. but to the original point- I don't think the real Buffalo media is turning on Rex Ryan at all yet. yet.
Anyone in Buffalo turning on Rex is ridiculous. Mostly because that franchise hasnt done jack shit in 15 years. Rex has them at the very least at respectable. Which should be great for them. Maybe the media should be reminded of Doug Marrone.
Their team was a 9-7 last year and put a lot of money into the franchise. I never thought the contract for McCoy made sense, not for that kind of money for a Rb and one who gets injured. His better days are behind him. Chip was smart getting rid of him. Plus the guy starts shouting racism after he's traded and gets a great contract. If this trend continues with the Bills believe me he'll be one of the first guys complaining about it. But their team is 2-2 and with new coaches, etc. still experiencing growing pains. They do show indications of being sometimes a dominant team. And Taylor is a first time starter as a Qb. He almost never played behind Flacco. I thought the Bills made a good decision giving the guy the starting job but he'll make mistakes all season long. They should be a playoff contending team but there is no way they have a shot if Rex can't get his act together with them. He did show at times with the Jets he is capable of benching players. And sometimes it had a good effect for guys who were not playing well. But he has to stop being the player's friend and start being their coach and administrator. IMO Rex isn't a terrible HC but he isn't a good one either. He's got a chance to improve and good talent. So starting with a 2-2 isn't disastrous but having a 17 penalty game and defending that is.
Typical, calling on a team that Newsome built and had a HC other than him . Another loss and he'll harken back to the '85 Bears....like he had something to do with that too
Typical Rex team. Smash a team one week.. Get your fans all hyped and lose the next to a team you should beat. We've watched that script for years here in East Rutherford. It's like washing your hands. Wet them.. Soap.. Wash.. Rinse... Repeat. It's the same with Rex every week.
I hope that Bills fans can see through this. I know a lot of us here on this Jets board have warned them about this stuff. Next step is using his media trolls to exonerate himself and blame the GM.
Miami is the fortunate team this year to get Rex Ryan's team after a bye week and their disneyland hangover.
