This is great news. Been my sleeper since before the draft. Dude can play - just had the injury bug senior year. He's a better pass catcher than Cumberland - hope he gets some targets this weekend especially over Kellen Davis.
Not really a transaction but I would almost rather take the risk of him missing a week after the BYE or maybe two if he can play this week, even if it's as a decoy mostly. This game will be huge, going into the BYE 3-1 over the Dolphins instead of taking our 2nd straight loss, going 2-2 into the BYE and being neck and neck with the Dolphins and behind the Bills.
TE is a big area of need for us, Sexton can only help. As far as Decker goes, I'd rather see him rested through the bye week and take it from there. Kerley is a very good replacement and we'll be just fine with him in the slot.
I don't think so. I only think you are "out" if you've been deactivated. If the teams gives you a status I think they can always change it. _
I think you can reverse it but it's odd that you'd even go as far as saying player X is out, like there's no way he's able to play, and then a day later you change your mind to the point where you know he'll be ready. They even skipped the doubtful part, they just went straight to questionable. But he's got a weird "injury", infected finger or something.
Stokes is right, this isn't like IR where you put a player on it and there's no going back, player status is pretty fluid until teams report their actives and inactives.
I think I remember reading somewhere when the pats released him, that Brady considered him one of his most trusted receivers. But to caviot that point, the raiders did also release him... Kinda have to wonder what the CS thinks he has that Powell doesn't... That said I'll trust in MacC Edit: also, it is just the practice squad so it's pretty low risk
We gave him a workout awhile back did we not? We just now randomly signed him? Lol. I wonder why Powell hasn't been allowed in games? He would obviously be better than Stacy at returning.
Thompkins was pretty good in NE wasn't he? I didnt even know they cut him. We should find a place on the active roster for him. He went to Miami Northwestern HS where a friend of mine works with the football team a little as a trainer. That school is just an amazing hot bed HS for football players its unbelievable the talent that goes through there. Marvin Jones went there in the late 80s before Florida State and recent talent includes Teddy Bridgewater, Amari Cooper, Lavonte David... among many others
