Hahahaaa it's like they're the Patriots of the college world.

Cheating fucks getting away with murder because the NCAA doesn't want to kill a golden goose. Or ever implicate Dean Smith.

    But we all know.

honestly though what they did at UNC is worse than what NE did in the NFL. messing with footballs to gain a competitive edge on the lines of play in a professional league is less egregious to me than messing with people's lives outside the lines for decades just to gain a competitive edge at an academic institution

Fifth leading shot blocker in the nation and on a Top 5 shot-blocking St. John's team that was height/depth challenged to begin with (think of them as a lesser version of "Dayton East") and the dope ends up leaving his team high and dry for the NCAA tourney by getting suspended for weed. As a result, scrappy as they were, they couldn't hang with SDSU's size.

Guy is a clown. He didn't want to stay here because he didn't want to put the work in.

It's really hard for me to get fired up about this season after two consecutive years of gut-wrenching NCAA disappointment from Jay Wright.

Louisville about to get hammered after allegations came out that they provide escorts to players and recruits.

Nah they're a big time school... the NCAA is too busy hammering SMU and investigating San Diego State and Hawaii to actually hand out a punishment if this is true.

Syracuse sanctions just lowered- got some scholarships back and the financial penalty was reduced. Boeheim's wins still vacated but his 9 game suspension is under a separate appeal.

So out of whack for an 8 year investigation that was about a few very minor infractions.

Lol Jay Billis just blasted the NCAA sanctions and gave a very concise summary of what they did:

-2 basketball players and 3 football players were paid a total of $8000 by a local YMCA booster (a guy who had been completely vetted by the Office of Athletic Compliance before any players were permitted to have contact with him)

-ONE paper of Fab Melo's was written/massaged by a tutor

-the athletic teams didn't comply with their own overly complicated drug testing policy--a voluntary policy the school was not even required to maintain

Basically that was the extent of the "major violation".

Yet UNC's violations were 1000 times as bad holding fake paper classes attended by hundreds of basketball and football players stretching over 18 years and they got nothing.

I still think more shit is coming for them.

What a lying piece of shit Roy Williams is.

Nice tournament win at the Atlantis in the Bahamas.

Beat UConn and Texas A&M back to back.

    Our 2 freshmen can shoot.

    http://thecomeback.com/blog/ncaa/ji...o-start-immediately-with-georgetown-game.html

NCAA admits it fucked up again and overstepped it's bounds, allows Boeheim to start his suspension immediately and not at the end of December against only the ACC.

What a fucking mess. An 8 year investigation because 2 basketball players got a couple of thousand dollars and one massaged paper for Fab Melo.

And dozens of UNC players never went to class and all of them handed in fake papers written for them by tutors.

Hall of Famer from the Syracuse Nationals Dolph Schayes passes at 87.

Went to school with his son Danny for 4 years, Dolph used to show up for the games all the time.

    RIP.

Syracuse should have a walkover against SJU who've already been crushed by Fordham and who barely beat Niagara.

North Carolina (with Marcus Paige back) just lost again.
