trades dont happen to often in the NFL but the bears have traded jared allen to CAR and jon bostic to NE today. both are decent enough players to be on an NFL roster, it seems they have given up on this season (as they should) and might be looking to trade talent for picks. anyone we should have any interest in? (other then the obvious untouchables)
Rotoworld mentioned Matt Forte as possibly being on the block, which would seem unlikely to me even given his age. The disaster scenario would be him getting shipped to NE
I don't follow the Bears, but what about Urlacher? Last I heard he was showing signs of slowing down, but perhaps he still has enough gas in the tank to be a good NFL LBer. Or was that all BS about him slowing down? I could see him still being good enough to be one of the Bears "untouchables", but I have no idea. All I know is once upon a time this dude was great and I always wished he was a Jet..... EDIT: since no one has replied to my point here, I'll move it up.... It is a bummer about Urlacher. I went to his Wikipedia entry. And apparently there was discussion about him possibly playing in 2013 but the Bears ended up not signing him and he retired. I thought he had come back in some capacity. Sounds like it wasn't a happy ending either, which is a shame for a player of his caliber. Well, since everyone here knows more about this situation than I do, does anyone know why he chose to retire and not return? He had an Achilles injury, but he was playing at a very high level before this. Achilles injuries suck, but he should've been able to return or catch on with another team, but I can't find anything about why he retired instead of tried to catch on elsewhere?
This guy speculates Jeffery rejoining Marshall in New York. This would put us over the top. Marshall has 1 or 2 years left, Jeffery (25) can be our #1 for the better part of a decade. One can only dream. http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bea...n-to-offers-for-matt-forte-and-alshon-jeffery
Yea your right......I just watched Mike Ditkas presser and he also said Walter Payton was a game time decision this week
That idea is more future oriented. We've been searching for a #1 receiver forever and the one we finally get is 31 years old. Since we have a hard time finding elite receivers in the draft we might as well steal a young one from someone else.
Or a TE .....offer them a 6th or 7th for Martellus Bennett....Cumberland is worthless maybe send him in the deal to
