Hopefully, the difference we be an attempt to actually build the offense. In the Rex era, offense wasn't even on the list of priorities. Except for shopping the bargain basement for running backs and receivers and picking up two QBs that everybody else knew had "bust" written all over them, every bit of improvement was spent on the defensive line. They could have had Russell Wilson; they could have made a play for Payton Manning, they could have had Emmanuel Sanders, Darren Sproles...the list goes on and on. Maybe that will change. Doubtful though.
Like Bowles said post game cant get to uppy at 2 wins nor too down at one tough loss. Take this season with a grain of salt (I will stay with 8-8) and groom Petty for greatness. Our defense has plenty of good ballplayers Marshall took responsibility for his stupd lateral otherwise he has plaed lights out for us . We had no runnig game no Amaro no million dollar Decker= tough to win against a good D. Their DBs broke up lots of sure completions. They played better, thats all........ Is Gaily all that bad ? No dont think so. He tailors the game for Fitz who has to execute a little better please. BUT NO GENO YET!!!!!!!!
Did you miss the alligator arms interception? He pulled his arms in too fast and tipped it to the defender. He had a net negative result on this game.
People seem to forget that...Decker out...Ivory...out.... Hell, we probably has between 2 - 3 touchdowns on the bench. Some of you who whine and bitch this quickly need to get a serious grip. Also, I'm in the camp that the Eagles weren't nearly as bad as their last 2 games either. God...give it a rest. Some people have to bitch just to bitch...
The Eagles are as bad as their first 2 games. They were literally begging us to beat them today, but we gave it right back to them. Eagles are going nowhere this season.
Also, I've come to the realization that it won't matter who the OC is for this team unless they find an elite QB..lol
No one has yet to point out what having Ivory would have changed about this game. No running back in the NFL today could have done well behind this offensive line. Having Decker clearly hurt but Kerley did alright. 6 catches, 1 touchdown. Given our offensive strategy of super short or deep passes to Smith, I'd say Kerley did well in Decker's absence. Marshall had good stats, except for the dumbass fumble and forgetting to catch that pass that turned into an interception. Our receiving corps didn't even do bad but three interceptions will make our passing game look terrible.
No, nobody forgot any of that, and yes, the Eagles really are that bad. The Jets laid an egg today and it definitely won't be the last time. It'll probably just be the first of 8 or 9 times.
It wasn't Gailey's best game by any means. There were some problems with playcalling sure but the bigger issue was execution by the players today than playcalling. Gailey didn't draw up a play where Marshall hands it to the other team.... or where Fitzpatrick underthrows Devin Smith (on multiple occasions)... or where Fitzpatrick chucks it into row 1 over his open reciever... or where Marshall lets one go right through his hands for an INT.. etc.. The players lost the game today not the coaching staff
What's amazing is he finally puts Kerley on the field and Kerley gets a TD that we badly needed.....should have been out there since week 1
Let's hope not...if we can get Decker/Ivory/Owusu back next week and try to keep everyone as healthy as possible I don't see us losing 8...I'm still praying for a 9/7 or 10/6 season. Also, let's not forget (can't believe I'm saying this) how important Colon going down is as well.
until she finds someone else. Kerley hinted weeks ago he feels hes being limited here. He might want out at the end of the season.
If Fitpatrick could hit wide open receivers he would've thrown for 400 yards and 4 TD's, it wasn't the play calling, Fitz was total trash.
