Despite everything Marshall's fumble on the toss attempt hurt us the most. Our game plan would've been much different had that play not occur.
Rushing yards: 47. Granted they fell behind (58 passing attempts), but that in and of itself is not going to get it done. Jets didn't have Ivory? Eagles didn't have Murray. And, Ivory was bottled up last week as well. Let's face it, the Jets were punt, punt, punt to start the game and they never really let the crowd get into it. And the defense (once again) allowed the opposition to drive the field out of the box, again taking the crowd out of the game. If I'm a DC facing the Jets: I double Marshall and load the box. If I'm an OC, I occupy the Jet CBs with the WRs and throw quick passes in space. Put a man in motion to see if they're playing "man" and if so run short crossing patterns vs. their slow, chasing LBs.
I've always wanted to like Coples, I don't know why, I've always wanted him to succeed and become a great player for our team but seriously he's just bad, no way around it, he's stupid. Why the fuck would you grab his mask like that?
Decker's going to get single coverage. While he's a fine receiver my main concern is Marshall who is a more dynamic, athletic threat particularly in the red zone.
Decker's not a home run hitter per se, i.e. a long ball threat and coverage help could be provided considering how the TE position has not required that much attention coverage-wise. I would go down the line and take away the threats in sequence starting with Marshall and then Decker and then dare the Jets' 3rd option to beat you. Jeff Cumberland? Pretty much missing in action thus far. Devin Smith? Until he starts running the full route tree keep him in fron of you and defend against the fly pattern. On top of that, one QB doesn't have an arm, one doesn't have a head and the third one is still (and should remain) in the incubator.
