It's Gailey's job to make sure the offense is prepared and he epically failed at this. Where the hell is our o-line this year? We beat up on a terrible Cleveland team, but against Philly (Who has no defense to speak of) and the Colts (Who isn't known for a good defense), they cannot run block to save their lives. And the Colts stats are inflated because we were up and went run heavy late in the game. There isn't a RB in history who could have put up good numbers with this o-line these last two weeks. They can't open a hole for the running backs to run through. There's just nowhere to go. Pass protection has been alright but they get pushed back way too often. Play calling. It's either an extremely short pass or a deep ball. There's been almost no in between. There has been very few plays called for something between 5 and 15 yards. Challenge those linebackers. And after seeing Fitzpatrick noodle arm it multiple times throwing to Smith, should have just cut that crap out. The lack of diversity in his play calling has made Chip look like some kind of genius.
I don't think Gailey is the problem. The issue is you have 2 QB's who would be 3rd string on any good team trying to win games for you. They may be decent enough to win a few here and there but neither are going to win you championships.
The eagles were giving them the short stuff and Fitz can't throw the long pass. Smart eagles defense.
As horrible as Fitzpatrick played, Chan Gailey didn't put him in a position to succeed. The play calling just made no sense today.
The Eagles came into this game with a hurt secondary. So what do we do? Dink and dunk passes until it was 17-0. Then when we were forced to go deep, Derpatrick can't make those throws. He just can't.
This team is eternally hopeless. The Eagles handed this game to them multiple times, and the Jets just gave it back with interest!
On those deep balls he underthrew, was Smith open ONCE? No. After that, every other play was designed to gain maybe 2-3 yards. What kind of numbers can you expect him to put up?
Are we really surprised? This is the Jets after all, the most dysfunctional team in the NFL...... We are always good for at least 2 losses where we easily could have won......
well if we werent blinded by MNF we could see this team will have trouble scoring. On Monday night we had 10 turnovers! With those turnovers we should of at least scored 34! Overall the problem once again is the QB. We dont have one. Fitz isnt the answer and neither is Geno. Should of lost that titans game last year.
Exactly.... anything more than 10 yards and it's a 50/50 ball. He wasn't even hitting open RB's 4 yards away.
