My preseason prediction was that Fitz would go 2-2 and give way to Geno at the bye. Not in position to change that.
And who would that be? Right now right now it is what it is. Geno would do no better than Fitz with key players being injured. But Geno would just slow down our new QB's progression. That being said I would jump on Geno's band wagon if he got us to the playoffs.
No Ivory, no Decker, no Owusu, no turnovers. Today is not about Ryan Fitzpatrick it's about an unfortunate injury run that had debilitated the Jets offense on the day and the turning of the worm on TO's, which was always going to happen at some point.
Me? Hell no but Geno is not my bitch. Is he yours? Anyone who believes Fitz is our future QB is fooling himself. The choice is Fitz or Geno.
Don't tell me what I've said. If you haven't read the board to know what anyone has said than you have no business commenting so keep your fucking mouth shut.
Plays a real defense and he gets exposed. Offense is limited by his inability to throw accurately; these simple, quick hitting concepts were going to be figured oit eventually.
Geno Smith throws a better deep ball. And really, he couldn't have done much worse than Fitzpatrick. Fitz is just staring down his targets and not going through his reads. So many plays someone is wide open and he's been trying to force it to his first read.
If Geno didn't get the benefit of this excuse last year, then neither can Fitz, let's be consistent here. Fitz did a poor job of controlling the things he can control.
I agree that those are all factors, but Fitz is an enormous part of the blame to me. He is just not that smart on the field; certainly not smart enough to overcome his arm.
The entire offense sucked today from Gailey on down to Fitz. Time for this unit to take a long look in the mirror.
