In all the chatter about Decker being out, one name seems to be missing from the discussion: Quincy Enunwa He did his job last week in relief of Decker, catching his one* target for 27 yards. Meanwhile, NFL.com is saying the Jets "need more out of Devin Smith" who hasn't played yet this year. * edit: turns out it was 3 targets.
Quincy needs to be more consistent and his route running isn't that good. Devin is a more natural catcher and has better hands, plus he was drafted in the 2nd round as mentioned, they want to give him opportunities to shine. Q will be there no matter what, doing a lot of different things.
Its gonna be refreshing when the Jets make Offense a priority on draft day again! Guys like Enunwa will be on the practice squad.
Enuwa so far has a false start, dropped pass and a completely whiffed block on a WR screen. That's just in the first quarter. Time to sit the bench for a while.
