Duda is an extreme streak hitter. And a binge HR hitter. When he doesn't hit he swings at everything. But he's looked good recently even when he makes outs.
The worst thing possible is when none of them hit at the same time. And we've seen that for significant stretches this season. Murphy right now is the hot hitter. Cespedes even when in a slump can contribute offensively. Plus opponents pitch around him. It's really helped Wright out a lot. Now we have a formidable lineup. No more 3 or more sub .200 hitters like in the past (with Sandy).
I'm not a Sandy fan but he did a great job at the trade deadline. Not spending that much money but spending it smartly. And being willing to give up 4 or 5 pitching prospects to win now. What a difference. If he didn't make those trades we'd be out of it (a long time ago). It just proves for Alderson: he can do a good job and make good deals if he wants to.
2 lefties with the shots. I hope it's clear to Terry what the lineup needs to look like against Kershaw.
Hip Hip Hooray!! Congratulations to Terry Collins, Manager of The Year; and Sandy Alderson!! Especially happy for Terry. Anybody who thinks Terry Collins hasn't done a good job here the last five years has shit for brains Let's Go Mets!!
