And Sanchez vs Our Secondary is what the doctor ordered for them? If that's the case I like our chances...... Lol
When I saw the title I thought Bradford was hurt or ailing. But yeah that's the first I've heard of a team considering switching TO Mark Sanchez to AVOID turnovers. I just don't buy it, but I'm loving this Eagles matchup more and more as it gets closer.
Kelly could have done that with Foles. But he chose not to, and traded DeSean Jackson before he even started his second season. SO far it does not seem to be working, and of course Bradford is no more mobile than Foles (he's less so, isn't he?).
Chip Kelly's spread offense is nothing like Marty's. The only similarities, is probably using the Shotgun formation a lot. He likes to run the ball ALOT. The success of his offense depends on the ability to run the football. He ran it like 500 times last year. I haven't watched their games, so I can't say why they haven't been able to run this year
He was like 14-3 with Foles. This is the NFL, how much better did he expect it could get? 10-11 since.
Whatever Chip is trying to run is ugly...and his players can't execute. I honestly couldn't tell the difference between WCO and spread. Both run mostly out of shotgun? One formation involves more WR screens; the other is hybrid with more passes to RB's in the flat? Seems like short quick passes...that eventually get eating up without a deep ball threat. Seems like Chip would be better served to run heavy and add a PA pass or mix in all his short passing plays. There is no deep threat in Philly. Although it won't matter this weekend if Murray is out.
Jets are going to beat the fuck out of the Giants and get revenge for 2011. Revis will shut down overrated OBJ and the Sons of Anarchy will make Eli cry by game's end.
Kelly obviously doesn't feel like he needs a mobile QB or he wouldn't have traded for Sam Bradford. He wants a tall QB who can see over the offensive line and make quick throws. That explains why he didn't even entertain the notion of making Mark Sanchez his QB moving forward. Sanchez is short at 6'2" and not particularly quick to release the ball. The problem Kelly has is that Bradford isn't all that quick either, maybe not as quick a release as Nick Foles had.
Kelly's gotten rid of his starting QB, his starting WR's, his starting RB and his starting guards over the last 2 seasons. If the offense flounders he's going to get destroyed by the Philly media and he'll be out of town by the end of next season at the latest. He's a scary guy to face right now because the way things are going down he has nothing to lose. He's pre-disastered and he did it to himself.
I read an interesting point in an article... All we hear is how coaches work 100+hr weeks preparing for games, etc etc. How in the hell do they think they can do that and then do a GM's job evaluating and selecting talent? It's simply impossible that they would be able to devote the hours to scouting and evaluating personnel that they should be.
sanchez isnt better. it isnt close. sanchez is the worst qb in football, hands down. and the worst starter in NFL history with 50 or more starts
