All we've been begging for is average QB play and folks are complaining?

And I said you don't know that. That's your conjecture. Next.

If you "get" that it is right to point out that Chad had the weaker arm, then why are you talking about relative value to the franchise?

Ftr I have reached my weekly quota of exchanges with you that produce diminishing returns. So you have a nice day, and in fact rest of the week.

  4. He needs to improve some of his decision making, footwork & ball security. To say that those aren't manageable issues or uncommon in young developing QBs is just not true.

I think he belongs on the bench until Fitz screws up or gets hurt but this undercurrent of adamant rejection of Geno Smith & his development is just really out of hand. Young players don't get better? He wasn't considered a raw project coming out of college? He didn't do ANYTHING positive when he was on the field???

    C'mon.

Why fuck up a good thing?

As long as we're winning, finding out if Geno has improved becomes low on the list.

I'd rather see how Bryce Petty plays...

What if Fitzpatrick goes down and Geno comes in and plays well. Do you go back to Fitzpatrick once he's healthy or do you stick with Geno?

If Fitz goes down and Geno is ballin' you stay with Geno. This isn't rocket science.

I said I didn't like the shot thrown at Chad. If it was simply pointing out that Chad had a weaker arm than Fitzpatrick then we're not having this discussion. And you say I don't understand shit?

But we'd be talking about leashes for Geno and how long it should be before we go back to Fitzpatrick if Geno starts struggling.

You stick with Geno. Fitz is not the long term solution but if he's playing competently you leave him in. If he gets hurt and Geno plays competently you leave HIM in.

    No double standard.

Yeah--when you're not talking about long term solutions at the QB position--you go with the hot hand and hope that the next guy up--Petty--is the real deal.

You forgot a big component of that if we are winning and they are playing competently you leave them in.

If the QB play is not the reason we're losing then I leave them in, Fitz or Geno.

If Geno is playing well and not killing us, but we're losing because of our defense or fluke ST plays, you stay with him.

    Same for Fitz.

these 2 Wins confirm something i already knew.......judging QB's on W/L record is a fools mission.

These Wins weren't squarely on Fitz, just like the Losses on bad past teams weren't squarely on Fitz.
it's a team game, and we've got a good team.
bottom line.....Bowles is making the correct choice for this team.

Depends if we need a spark or not. If Fitz is playing ok and we are losing and we need a win desperately to make the playoffs you role the dice with Geno to try to get some positive momentum other than that you role with Fitz to the Superbowl. :)

JPP was looking for a spark and he blew off 1-1/2 fingers.
